Has anybody else ‘heard’ about a certain young player at the club that was pulled over by the police.
Everything was fine until the copper checked his mobile and found that it was stolen. I’ll not mention the name yet.
Sorry but how am I expected to react to this “revelation”?
Maybe it’s true. Without a name it’s meaningless. Even with a name it’s actually none of my business. Prurient interest maybe, but in reality nothing to do with me, or my support for the team. Sort of “News of the World-esque”. So – he has a dodgy mobile phone. I think players who have been on our books in the past have far worse things on record. And players elsewhere, say in the maroon part of Edinburgh, are far more deserving of our opprobrium (look it up). Actually there are some in the cherry and white half of Wigan who are less than angelic.
And if it isn’t true but just tittle-tattle and gossip – well….
I’ll just add a little thought. So unnamed player A is “pulled over” by the police for some unspecified reason, but apparently all is OK. So he can go on his way. But no. Wait. PC Plod decides to check his phone for some reason.
Now – I’m quite addicted to Road Wars and similar, but not once have I ever seen them “check someone’s phone”. And who, frankly, would buy a mobile off someone in the pub these days? But it seems you are saying there is mobile phone recognition software like they have for stolen cars and uninsured vehicles :shock:
