I’ve seen plenty of people over the years at Latics wearing Warriors caps and polo shirts, never seen it as a problem myself they’re there supporting the Latics and that’s all that counts.
But on saying that I’ve also seen warriors shirts in the away end on more than one occasion during are Prem years. Wasn’t you mutty was it?

I’ve not seen anywhere that a provocative message was on this shirt until you brought it up as a retort to justify any ill feeling. Personally I wouldn’t give two shits what someone wore if they were at a game supporting the same team as me.

Actually he was on his stag do and as a joke was made to wear the shirt at the game. He’s a Latin’s fan thru n thru!!!

The like for like is kids wearing a Latics woolly hat versus a fella with a rugby shirt on carrying a provocative message.
And we are not your rivals so no need explain that.

I would say egg that your general nut hugger doesn’t just hate the Latics its the sport itself. When you listen to the fookers its all the usual diatribe spoken by folk who know jack shit about the game and the tired old cliches”kicking a bag of wind” etc coming from their gobs. Mostly these gobshites will be your super fan who watches from the comfort of his favourite pub and never ventures anywhere near the stadium. You marrer are an exception to the rule a rare breed who passionately follows both and should be commended for your efforts. I hate rugby period, both league and union mostly because I find the laws baffling and stupid bur I suppose its also down to the fact I have always loved football and no other sport comes close to it. Maurice Lyndsay also is a huge reason why instead of being proud of what my towns other club has achieved I hate them with a passion because of his total lack of respect and acknowledgement of the amazing rise of Wigans football club which has been nothing short of miraculous. That b…..d did his level best to try to get shut of us then had the cheek to take up a position when offered it the two faced prick. Trouble with the klumps fans is jealousy they couldn’t stand the world wide headlines Wigan Athletic were making instead of them making their own to a few who even care that league exists. Latics are a small fish in a massive pond and Latics fans understand and embrace it. Klumps fans see their club as the biggest fish in a puddle and the sooner that puddle dries up and disappears the better. If all nut huggers were like you egg maybe the townsfolk would be proud of both our clubs but because of the past attempts to down trod the tics by that shite I doubt it will ever happen mate.
Fully agree Nunny. Personally I am a Wiganer and want us to be the biggest name in world sport. Both clubs winning at Wembley in 2013 was a dream come true.
You are spot on fan wise too. In the 80s tics men rightly hated the rugby. The modern tic has no reason to. Rugby fans believe the rugby town nonsense and no matter how many facts you put in their way they refuse to budge. One actually told me that if you asked anyone in the world to name 5 rugby teams they would all name Wigan. Not a chance in hell. That wouldn’t even happen in London let alone Durban.
The average rugby fan embarrasses me TBH but I am Wigan through and through regardless of the sport.
Egg, not all latics men hated the rugby in the 80’s quite a few did both and still do today, in fact the trouble that occurred at the rugby was the main latics lads. What i don’t get is wiganers who hate the rugby but support saints or wires. I know a few latics fans who walk round town with saints shirts on, how can you live in a town but support another towns sporting team.
