So Powell can’t play 2 games in 4 days means some valuations we here 10 mill,15 mill are bollocks.Too flakey for sides to invest that kind of cash in him. I’m a fan but do you think we go overboard on his worth ? Have we really seen him at his best recently? Me I think he has been rather anonymous recently so would cashing in be a disaster ? Sack him. At this stage of the season i was 3rd on FIFA playing 442 with Callum playing, no loanees and Nick Powell playing every game and the full 90.

I’ve been posting on CL since the beginning and its slowly dying on its feet. Posters and threads are getting fewer by the day. When we lose however its totally different. Nobody likes seeing the Latics lose and it normally fcuks the weekend up after a dismal performance/result but the table doesn’t lie and it says we are going ok. Had we not conceded the late goals against Villa and Forest and turned up against Nob End Milwall and QPR we would be top but also had we not scored late on in games ourselves we could be near the bottom. That’s the Championship its a brilliant league and ultra competitive. It maybe a Latics thing but we do go into meltdown on here after a defeat.

Us mere minions although not having the aptitude to even kneel at the feet of your expertise do have an inkling of sports science that contributes to the game and we do even know the management and coaches work with the players every day.
Please tell me and others who have the audacity to have an opinion that differs to yours why then this same science and observation technique was not applied to some players like Gary Roberts, Callum McMannaman etc before they were signed. You’re the one who claimed there’s no reason Powell and Roberts couldn’t play on Tuesday, and I called bollocks to this.
Powell is handled with kit gloves -it’s common knowledge, and he rarely last 90 minutes. And Roberts is nearing the end of his career. So of course they’re going to be rested.
If you think there’s some other motive in leaving them out (perhaps to lose a few games and get people posting on Cockney Latic again) then go ahead.
I’ll stick to my opinion.
You are quite welcome to an opinion. If that’s the case we should have cashed in on Powell and not given Roberts an extension. Roberts one game all season and rested FFS and that’s after what? around half a dozen games last season.
Again your sarcasm is not an opinion and definitely not a reason I feel they shouldn’t be left out.
Think I’ll go and clean my rose tinted glasses for future posts.
