Performed by a singer who’s on in your local.

Keep it sensible, mind. Please no abstract ‘B’ sides, Sepultura, or anything ‘way out’.

Has to be fairly popular, I.E. Stereophonics, Oasis, etc.

      Anything from 60’s onwards, please.

Take back the city – Snow Patrol
If it makes you happy – Sheryl Crow.

Come on Guyshhhhh! (as they’d say in Holland.)

Need some ideas for new songs to do.

Remember “The public gets what the public wants” or summat like that. :P

Some songs I’ve been doing lately:

Bright Side Of The Road- Van Morrison
          Just Looking- Stereophonics
          Brown Sugar- Rolling Stones
Hard To Handle- Otis Redding/Black Crowes
          Don’t Look Back In Anger-Oasis
          It’s My Life-Bon Jovi
          These Days-Bon Jovi
          Heart Of Gold- Neil Young

          That’s just a few…………..

          depends on the singer.
there’s nothing that repulses me more than an overweight balding thirtysomething trying to be noel gallagher with an acoustic guitar. i can’t understand why anyone would gain enjoyment from it.

tell me more about yourself and ki’ll be able to offer some sound advice. :D :D :D

            I’m 33.

Not bald. In fact, I need a haircut as it happens.

Not really overweight. I aint no skinny Weller type, but I aint a Rik Waller, either. Go the gym 5 times a week, so there you go.

Noel Gallagher is actually 41, anyway. I met him a few weeks back, in Bournemouth.

Why would people get enjoyment from it? Because it’s better than some fat split-ar*e screaming on a karaoke, that’s why.

I wish they’d ban it. (Karaoke) It makes every pr*ck who once murdered a song, think they can go out gigging. No. They can’t. Standing up there doing 25-30 songs, without a fu*kin screen to read the words off, AND get chords right, is a hell of a bit different.

              “Albatross” by Fleetwood Mac

              Johny come last, The Fratellis
              Teanage kicks, The Undertones
              Talk tonight, Oasis
Gold, Spandue ballet (with rearranged lyrics obviously)
              Golden touch, Razor light

‘Gold’, by Spandau Ballet, is a belter of a song.

‘Talk Tonight’, by Noel Gallagher. Brilliant song, that. Can play that on guitar. Planning on doing some recording this week, and I think I’ll record that.

Dave, here’s a nice middle of the road, guitar based demi-set for you to consider:

The Circle – Ocean Colour Scene
Don’t Look Back Into The Sun – The Libertines
                On Standby – Shed Seven
                Driftwood – Travis
Bang Bang, You’re Dead – Dirty Pretty Things
Don’t Go Back To Rockville – REM
Lust For Life – Iggy Pop
Bye Bye Bad Man – Stone Roses
                Mr Brightside – The Killers
                Superstition – Stevie Wonder
                Slight Return – Blue Tones
                Fake Plastic Trees – Radiohead
                Shining Light – Ash
Ever Fallen In Love – Buzzcocks
Kids Are Alright – The Who

                Some good tunes theya StandishWalker.

                Runaway, Dell Shannon
                Cast no shadow, Oasis
                Sonnet, The Verve
The day we caught the train, Ocean Colour Scene
                Going underground, The Jam
                Bucket, Kings of Leon
                Penny arcade, Roy Orbison
                Up the junction, Squeeze
                Sunny afternoon, The Kinks

I think these selections would go down well, along with my others from my earlier post

                  Some really good songs there.

Planning on recording some acoustic tracks on CD, including.

                  Just Looking- Stereophonics

                  Talk Tonight- Noel Gallagher

D’ya Wanna Be A Spaceman?- Noel Gallagher

                  Substitute- The Who

And others. Will be done in next 3 weeks.
