sorry but he is far too slow. How many things did he create ??? He is supposed to be our cutting edge, yet is blunter than blunt Blunt McBlunt from Bluntsville. AND if I had a free role then I’m sure I could have 3 shots on target in 90 mins play

      PMSL, Classic.

Perhaps there is a reason why Roberto plays a right footer on the left and a left footer on the right. If we swap them over and crosses rain in, then who is going to get on the end of them ? – Heskey has gone remember. I rate Hugo but I don’t see him as Wigan’s answer to Kevin Davies, his undoubted skill comes to the fore when the ball is on the floor.

If we play Koumas and N’Zogbia on the “wrong wings” so to speak then they are a goal threat when they cut inside. If we only play “one up” then we need more goal threats and this is the way to do it. These three are then supplemented by Gomez and Diame

This is a different way of playing – some people can’t seem to get 4-4-2 and a big target man out of their heads. We are set up to play with the ball on the floor.

I confidently predict that Kevin Davies will do NOTHING this season. I know, because I have bought him for my fantasy football team. Last season’s let down was Robbie Keane, so I have previous.

This year’s other inspired purchase? Yep, Emmanuel Adebayor  Bring on another season of mediocrity.
