Ali, you have always been Latics you always will lad. The other night I watched a couple of pieces on Latics TV on the stadium Drive academy and afterwards I felt so good and proud about my club as we have always for most of the time. Along with our other academy teams and facilities this fabulous club is in great shape and we will bring our own talent through even if it is only to keep us financially stable by selling them on for millions. At present the only thing bringing the club down is the fortunes of the first team. We all know whose fault that is and once rectified we will be ok. I know you will never lose the faith, like me this club is in your blood. However long it takes we will be successful again and adding to our bulging trophy cabinet. Come on you Latics.

I was ready for walking out when Gelhardt was subbed off.

Somehow, tonight was typical Latics

Why? What exactly did Gelhardt contribute?
He was no better, or worse, than anyone else up to that point, apart from playing in Robinson in the 1st half. But as we were on top I had visions of him linking up with More to win the game. I never expected the subs to have such a dramatic effect, why would I after this season so far?
Credit where credits due, the subs worked, Jacobs looked fresh, Lowe scored, we held on.
The booing when Gelhardt was subbed was totally unnecessary and unwarranted. More importantly it does the lad no favours whatsoever and only adds the pressure that has already been placed on his clearly self-evident, inexperienced shoulders.
I’m thinking the opposite on this. To be fair the lad only had a handful of touches most of them being productive, the jinking run in the box, the sublime pass to Robinson, the run from the corner when he was scythed down just outside the box. He probably felt himself that he had not really imposed himself on the game, so the reaction from the crowd when he was subbed must have made him feel that his contribution had been appreciated.
Listening to Cook’s post match interview he more a less said that it was planned to give him 60 mins and then bring Jacobs on. Why would that be when he doesn’t know what impact the lad was having on the game. He could have scored two and be trying for his hat trick but he would have still brought him off it seems. It’s either that or he was looking for an excuse as to why he brought him off following the crowds reaction.

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!

I keep going in the hope we call pull it off. As for stu’s comment …ffs lad give it a rest. The view of lostocks is one shared by many others, If not we’d have 15,000 every week.
All’s we want is, players giving their best regardless of the quality and the manager getting it right both starting 11 and substitutions then Latics fans will back him all the way.

No one can doubt the past 12 months plus has tested the patience of every Latics fan. We have some really tough games starting this Saturday. I’ve a feeling Leeds are still p1ssed with us last year so a backlash might be on the books, I’m hoping I’m wrong.
You know your in the sh1t when your looking at others results.

If losing games in the 2nd tier has tested your patience you probably need to reassess who you actually are supporting. If you cant stomach a few losses in the 2nd tier when you’ve seen us in the non league days then again you probably need to reassess stuff.

VAT was ridiculed for jumping ship, lostock gets praised for it.
I dont need a bellend like yourself to tell me when and when not to go thanks. You’ve proved yourself to be thick skinned all four of them.
If you’ve been happy with the way things have been going under Cook then your a bigger dick than anyone could imagine
Now jump back in your blue and white cot, with you Crimbo “Latics Are Ace” Jim Jams on and smash those blow up clappers till you nod off under your Cook duvet.

Spot on JR.
If you remember too Williams was down injured when the board went up.
But Morsy signalled “hang on” to see whether Williams needed to go off, considering that something different may be needed.
He did go off – but Gelhardt was still subbed. Cook had made his decision, and come hell or high water Gelhardt was coming off for Jacobs, no matter what the impact of Williams having to go off was going to make to teh formation. Incredibly stubborn – or else unable to think “on the hoof”.

At first I actually thought they had held up 38 rather than 30.

It’s very nice to have the crowd on your side but with it comes a great deal of expectation which can have a negative effect. I thought at times he was trying too hard by running at players, because that’s what the fans expect him to do, and getting caught. It’s sad indictment of where we’re at when the challenge of staying in this league is resting on the performances, good or indifferent, of an untried 17 year old.

I thought so too but I fully expected it. Cook can’t do anything right at the moment and even if we manage to survive (im probably 51/49 that we will but most of the 51 is heart ruling head) I doubt he will get any of the credit.

The difference between the vast majority on here and you is,
Most on here have opinions were as you are nothing more than keyboard stalker (2 mins behind as per usual) who offers nothing bar been child like remarks in your replies.
You ran out of Christmas colouring books and felt tips ?, you come across abit weird m8, abit creepy tbh the way you stalk

#184481

So if I reply to something you post thats aimed at me then I’m stalking you am I?

#184482

And I have an opinion, some of it negativr, but I wont stop going to games because we lose and i wont post an attention seeking post about it either.

No different to vat who was slagged off for it

So Super Stu, how long have you followed the Tics and how many games have you missed ? You’ll more than likely require at least five fingers to count on; unlike the super fans that are Lostock & Horc. As the saying goes, “you are not fit to lace their boots !”

#184484

Number of times ive turned my back on the club – 0

We’ve established, well I have, that he didn’t want to sit next to Horc for 90 minutes so we will end it there.

Lostock will definitely be back. Wouldn’t surprise me if he isn’t at Leeds on Saturday.
