If he doesn’t go after that he’s never going, (which in league 1 won’t be a problem) but who’s better out their who we can afford!!! no one I reckon,Lowe is F in useless and please explain why with 30 seconds left in the first half why everyone doesn’t get in the box and we play it short.
Naismith what a player and hats off to the guy.12 January 2020 at 12:43 am #183890Shaun Dyche hopefully if he ever gets booted out of Burnley.

12 January 2020 at 1:53 am #183899Paul Warne ex tic doing a great job at Rotherham.
12 January 2020 at 3:10 am #183906The job of hiring and firing belongs to the powers above, all’s I know is, if we carry on with Cook we are going down for sure.
Too many players are playing well below par and playing Cooks way which is a negative type of footballPlus
It’s boring as fcuk
12 January 2020 at 5:59 pm #183927“What we can afford” should not factor into the decision to fire Cook. If the board/or fans think we ned a new manager, action needs to be taken – Cook’s salary is a sunk cost. If Cook is retained, it had better be because the board thinks these are the best results anyone can get out of this group of players and they are OK with going down to League one.
I’m of the opinion that a change needs to be made. If funds are limited in brining in a new manager, then the board should take a flier on a new/first time manager. That’s probably what Wigan needs to do in order to be successful/punch above our weight anyway – to think outside the box/be on the cutting edge and take chances – Not go after “safe”/retread choices.
12 January 2020 at 6:23 pm #183930Hopefully the board don’t make decisions based on what the fans want
12 January 2020 at 9:40 pm #183941Hopefully the board don’t make decisions based on what the fans wantNo danger of that stu they don’t make any decisions whatsoever
12 January 2020 at 10:58 pm #183945They’ve decided they sticking with Cook
13 January 2020 at 1:00 am #183955They’ve decided they sticking with CookWell whoopee fookin doo what a brilliant piece of securing relegation that is. Cook couldn’t manage a jump in a brothel so let’s all rejoice. In 50 years watching this amazing club this has to be the worse offensive side ever witnessed by Latics fans.
13 January 2020 at 1:12 am #183956Provided we continue with our average of 0.88 goals a game we will average 40 goals. That’s the same as the last time we were relegated and more than the first time. It’s 3 less than our relegation in 1993 against much better opposition. Bad yes. Worst ever? Subject to opinion.

Yes it is painful to watch as was the Joyce era. IMO the Joyce era was worse, whilst the Mackay era was more frustrating as we actually had a good side on paper. Our lack of bite reminds me of that season. Hammer a side and lose 2 and 3 nil to 2 and 3 shots
13 January 2020 at 2:22 am #183963Hopefully the board don’t make decisions based on what the fans wantThey’ll come to a point when they’ll have to due to poor crowds and people speaking with their feet.
Then theres,
League One football will be worse with far less travelling fans.
It’s a business it’s not based on fans opinion. No fans and relegation means far less income.
You really need use some smelling salts and wake up and stop fckin dreaming that everything’s fine, its not13 January 2020 at 3:13 am #183968If they truly believe that Cook is the man they want to be in charge of the club and grow the academy then similar to Dario Gradi at Crewe, he won’t go anywhere regardless of what division we’re in and how many fans turn their back.
Whether that is the right or wrong call, only time will tell.
