heard they boycotted yesterday due to a 20p increase in price of a pie
on tv a girl of of 15 mother of three from chorley
complained that the extra increase would cost her 8 quid to feed her and the children on pies
similar story from old couple from bolton ,who were very annoyed at having to pay extra 10 quid for their pie addiction
So, 12,177 people all paid to attend. Any guess how many non-season ticket holders paid to watch the “big” game on Saturday, and how many will pay to watch the “big” game with Man City?
My guess is you could add both up and they wouldnt reach 12177.

1. Kids ST work out £1 a game, so last nights game cost at least £8
2. People would have saved some dosh for the game in 2 weeks (had we got through last night)
3. 11K home fans paying top dollar isn’t all that bad
seems that the club haven’t learned jack about why so many fans were missing as they are employing the same ticket prices for Fridays game. I do fear for the attendance this week, HKR will bring a few more than Leeds but I still dont see the crowd getting any bigger than 10K.
Griff’s busy, doesn’t lie, does know Richmond VA, is slightly perturbed that 50% of your posts mention me and still doesn’t get how a multi gets off by being a multi :?
I don’t think there’s much point comparing the attendances between a relatively new premier league football side (relatively new league side if we’re being honest), and a very long time established rugby league side that have been successfull over the years.
I think the only reason it gets discussed so much is because they play on the same ground, not an ideal situation i know, and i’m sure the majority of fans from both sides would prefer to have their own ‘home’. But that’s the way it is, and both sets of fans need to realise that we’re talking about two totally different sports here, and clubs at different points in their existence, with the rugby being a team known across the world for its undeniable success over the years, and itself trying to rebuild and become the major force it once was, and the latics being a young, dynamic set up, with it’s own success over the past 10 years, and trying to establish itself in the big league, and become known worldwide itself (a job it is doing very well in my opinion).
I enjoy watching both sports, although i’m not too enamoured with the premier league and the ridiculous wages, player behaviour, and lack of a true competition over the season (4/5 clubs don’t make a league) (where 18/20 in the championship does). But you have to respect the fact that the latics worked hard to get there and even harder to stay there, i hope they can become the club that more wiganers will be proud of.
There’s so many factors that can be argued, it would take a lifetime, but one thing that both clubs should do is respect the other for their success in their own sport, i know alot of fans will never forget the actions of the rugby in trying to stifle the progress of the latics, but to carry on the argument when that is history is a bit childish. And so is the rugby, belittling the success of an up and coming club, instead of being proud that we have two clubs from the same town, competing in the highest league in their sport.
The arguing will go on i suppose, but it should be a bit of banter between the sets of fans, not the same pointless arguments about things that really don’t matter, have no amusement value and make both sets of fans look like retards.
End of chat ;)
Now where’s that griff posting, the t wat, calling my brilliant cigarette joke, and claiming to know a virgin from richmond, lying kangaroo :) :)
I’m sorry mate but common sense and tolerance have no place on this forum, stop spoiling everyone’s fun. :D

This thread is almost fulsome proof of the chip-on-the-shoulder, bitter, grudge-ridden inhabitants that exist in the town. Just get on with supporting either or both sides. I’ve always wondered if people take more satisfaction from the other failing than their own side being successful.
