No comment on attendence eh
12177 according to the OFFICIAL website.
http://www.wiganwarriors.com/wFixtures.aspx
So, 12,177 people all paid to attend. Any guess how many non-season ticket holders paid to watch the “big” game on Saturday, and how many will pay to watch the “big” game with Man City?
My guess is you could add both up and they wouldnt reach 12177.
I watched the game live on SKY and they gave the attendance out as 11,177.
17 September 2010 at 5:46 pm #46647Its a funny old world. Rather like a sport where a team can finish 6th, more than 30 points behind the side that finishes first, but still manage to be promoted at the end of the season. They get two games to make the playoff final, so it doesnt matter if they lose the first one.
Then to cap it all, they beat that side 2-0 in the next game between the two sides, just 4 months after finishing so far behind them, even binoculars couldnt spot them.
Oh yeah, and they can win against some other minor side 4-0.

You’re really struggling now, aren’t you? Leaving aside the slightly prepostrous suggestion that the super league regular season is any different from a football league season in terms of a team finishing way adrift of the top spot but still going on to secure a promotion/trophy, please point out tome where a losing team in a football play-off* competition gets a) another chance to go through or b) chooses who they play next?
I’m a fan of rugby league mate, but surely you have to admit it’s now become a total laughing stock.
* by the way, the two-legged tie is still a single match between those two teams. Think (difficult for you, I know) of it as a 180 minute match rather than a traditional 90 minute match. Never, in the history of football, has the loser of one of these 180-minute matches been given a second chance by playing someone else.
Griff, sorry to point this one out but Darlington lost their 2nd round FA Cup tie in 1999-2000 and went through has lucky losers due to Manure pulling out of the competition.17 September 2010 at 7:09 pm #46651Griff, sorry to point this one out but Darlington lost their 2nd round FA Cup tie in 1999-2000 and went through has lucky losers due to Manure pulling out of the competition.Well, there you go Scoffy… the exception that very much proves the rule.
17 September 2010 at 7:18 pm #46653You lot are such hypocrites, You moan when we get fans, you moan when we don’t. As soon as someone criticizes our crowds you all jump to the defence with all kinds of crap excuses as to why no-one goes any more. When no-one brings it up nothing ever get’s said. There is a small number of people who are ready at their keyboards as soon as the Rugby attendance is announced, Taking the mickey out of it with no moral ground to stand on. Get a life

15525 – 5000 = not a lot.
19 September 2010 at 9:54 pm #4677311,000 – 3,500 is an awful lot less.
Lets face it both clubs are poorly supported at least we have an excuse, we are s4it, and are at our lowest ebb for 6 or more seasons.
You on the other hand are having your best season for a decade and still have diabolical support.

19 September 2010 at 10:37 pm #46776Reply awaits, but the KLUMPS will Return. :lol:Will not hide away from the fact that there is two sports that dominate in this town and i support and love them both, Im not ashamed of that either, I would like to point out though, how long can you go on blaming the current rugby alliance with the former one. If every German and Brit still blamed us for the Hitler sh1t house tricks then we would have never moved forward since the war.
