When all this “taking the knee” started it was in support of BLM a political movement i do not support as I think its racist same as “white lives matter” would be.
You are not racist if you do not support BLM. I wouldn’t fake a knee to anyone regardless.
Taking a knee and bowing is a submissive statement not a show of solidarity. By not taking a knee does not show your aren’t against racism the same as not clapping and banging your pots doesn’t mean you dont support the NHS.
This is all put on you and your frowned upon if you don’t follow the masses, p1sses me right feckin off.At first it wasn’t a political statement. Saying that black lives matter is different to supporting the political group BLM who are the ones who organised the “protests”.
Sadly there doesn’t seem to be a distinction between the two anymore, but as players, clubs and others have said it’s an empty gesture anyway when nothing is done to punish and prevent racism.
