Then stick with it for a dozen matches!!!
Carson
Tav Ramis Barnett Espinoza
McManama Perch Huws Waghorn
Delort Riera30 September 2014 at 11:42 am #133779I wouldn’t let Espinoza wash that team’s kit!
30 September 2014 at 12:25 pm #133780Contraversial statement Mr G
30 September 2014 at 12:43 pm #133781Being serious for a minute, and assuming that he WON’T play 442 (not saying he shouldn’t mind, just that he probably won’t) here’s my thoughts on 4231, for what it’s worth.
Back four just needs to be solid but with an ability to get forward. Only need two real holders in midfield, not three as we seem to have now. A bit of pace and creativity amongst the three attacking midfielders would help.We should also pick whichever of our strikers is best at holding up the ball and bringing others into play because I’ve seen little evidence of them actually looking like scoring themselves yet. So:-
Carson
Perch/Boyce Barnett Ramis Taylor
Huys Forshaw
McManaman Maloney (in the creative, “Jordi” role) McLean
Riera/Delort/WaghornNot really seen enough of Tavernier to know where he could best fit but he looked decent the couple of times I saw him play. And I’m sure there are places in there for Watson and McCann when they are back.
And I’ve probably missed off someone completely obvious.
Edit: See, I forgot about Waghorn. He could probably do that job.
30 September 2014 at 12:51 pm #133782Roger is hardly a world beater but he is just another alternative as a left sided player at left back.
30 September 2014 at 1:07 pm #133783Taylor-Sinclair scored a couple of beauty’s in a reserve/devolpment match against knob eeend in a 5-0 slaughter
edit just found it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbPhGV8ON6g&feature=youtu.be
30 September 2014 at 1:22 pm #133784That Jennings goal was a peach.
Carson
Perch Boyce Ramis Taylor
Kvist
Huws Cowie/Forshaw
McManaman Riera MaloneyThe problem we have with these European style formations is that with the above when we haven’t got the ball Maloney and McManaman need to drop back to support Huws and Cowie creating a 4-1-4-1 formation. Then they need to push forward with Perch and Taylor to create a 2-3-2-3 or 2-1-4-3 formation. One thing that shouldn’t be happening is that Riera gets isolated out wide or is forced to try and hold the ball up 50 yards from goal with no support. The wide men should be up and down like a prozzys knickers allowing Riera to basically goal hang in the middle all game.
30 September 2014 at 1:22 pm #133785I wouldn’t let Espinoza wash that team’s kit! What they wash it ??, from what Ive seen a tab of rightguard and a folding up would suffice

Not bad for you, that! ;)
30 September 2014 at 1:34 pm #133787Tavernier Boyce Ramis Barnett Taylor
Huws Forshaw Mac
Riera DelortTav/Taylor , given licence to push forward the same goes for Boyce Ramis to help the middle.
Hope Roslers reading this :) this will keep him out of Brocol House
30 September 2014 at 1:35 pm #133788Roger is hardly a world beater but he is just another alternative as a left sided player at left back. But we already have two left backs, both helpfully called Taylor. Why would you pick someone who isn’t a left back by trade (and not very good to boot, imo) when we have just signed two proper ones?
30 September 2014 at 1:53 pm #133789Heard Taverniers not a bad center half when needed.
30 September 2014 at 3:09 pm #133791Interesting to see that there is not one mention of Cowie yet Rosler probably pencils him in straight away when choosing the team! Fcuk knows why coz he is shite! Edit-There is one mention of him but that was from a rugby fan and so that doesn’t count!
30 September 2014 at 3:24 pm #133792I think we need Tavernier for the width and the delivery, Barnett for his experience, and possibly the energy of Waghorn instead of Delort. I’d go for:
Carson
Taylor Ramis Barnett Tavernier
Huws Forshaw Maloney
McManaman Riera Waghorn
30 September 2014 at 3:50 pm #133794Interesting to see that there is not one mention of Cowie yet Rosler probably pencils him in straight away when choosing the team! Fcuk knows why coz he is shite! Edit-There is one mention of him but that was from a rugby fan and so that doesn’t count! He is not shite. He does a similar job to Kvist and Huys I just don’t think you need two of them and I think Huys is a bit more positive thinking. I wouldn;t hjave a problem with Cowie as one of the two holding midfielders.
Cowie is what Cantona used to describe as a water carrier. Much of what he does goes unnoticed and isn’t spectacular. That doesn’t make him shite.
