You’re right Griff, got to get a decent fee, somewhere around £10m should be ok and more importantly a good replacement. If he doesn’t want to play for us then get rid, that said in fairness to Charlie, its only speculation, he hasn’t actually handed in a transfer request yet.
Be disappointed if he does go to Sunderland, hopefully if he does leave us he can will go to a club where he can achieve some real success, ie Juventus or Marseille…and I wouldn’t blame him if he’s got the choice of those 2 clubs.
i wonder if there is anything in the fact that birmingham have pulled out of the deal to sign mauro camoranesi from juventus, isnt it funny also that bruce talking about selling jones suddenly brings up thinking nzogbia is out of his price range.
there is no doubt in my mind that hes been got at (tapped up) but we all knew what he was like at newcastle,as far as i am concerned let him go – but for once make it on our terms for top dollar.
gutted really gutted :( the thing that really has annoyed me is that if he wanted to leave why leave it till 2 days before the start of the season at least show the club and the fans some respect   just hope we get double figures for the ignorant french wanker
I think more players should be forced to hand in transfer requests if they want to go.
He can take his fake drivers licence elsewhere….
“Sky Sports News understands Charles N’Zogbia is poised to hand in a transfer request at Wigan.
N’Zogbia’s future at Wigan has been the subject of conjecture for some time with a number of clubs chasing his signature.
Premier League duo Sunderland and Birmingham as well as Marseille and Juventus have all been credited with an interest in the exciting wide-man.
N’Zogbia has never hidden his desire to play at a higher level and it is believed he keen to leave the DW Stadium before the close of the transfer window.
The 24-year-old, who made his debut for France against Norway on Wednesday, is now prepared to force the issue with Wigan by officially asking for a move.
Losing N’Zogbia would come as a major blow to Latics boss Roberto Martinez as the former Newcastle man is a key member of his squad”
To hand in a transfer request 2 days before the start of the season is a) a really $h!tty thing to do & b) show’s to me that someone from another club has been talking to him or his agent behind Latics back
To be fair though it doesn’t change anything. Latics have told him all summer that he can go if a club meets their valuation of him. If N’Zogbia has handed in a request & if Latics accept it the situation is in reality no different – he’s still under contract & Latics will still only sell him if they receive a bid that meets their valuation. Just coz he’s handed in a transfer request & its been accepted doesn’t mean that he suddenly gets to decide where he goes & for how much!!!
So i can’t see what N’Zogbia is hoping to achieve by this (if its true)
