27 September 2013 at 8:01 pm #121564:woohoo: I was anticipating £700 -£800 Not paying that price. I think you are paying for the team as well
27 September 2013 at 8:04 pm #121565But what if I don’t want them?
27 September 2013 at 10:11 pm #121575Maybe they’re looking for fans to travel with the team just in case there is a hidden gem of a striker amongst them.

Three different packages available.

Club are doing 2 nights for £1600Are Lupin Travel offering an executive trip, travelling with the team on a high standard private charter aircraft, with photo opportunities with the players and coaching staff, a pre-flight address by the manager, complimentary inflight meal and bar service,a drinks reception and dinner with Latics club officials and ex-players, executive coach transfers to and from the airport and to the match, an upgraded match ticket – sitting with the sponsors and VIPs, a bag drop and fast track at both airports, and a return flight that drops the team off at Bristol for their game against Yeovil, before heading back to Manchester?
No.
And that’s why there’s a price difference.
If you want to travel as cheap as you possibly can. Sort it out yourselves. Or book with this non-ATOL, Non-ABTA bonded lot. (By law, every UK travel company which sells air holidays and flights is required to hold an ATOL)
The club maybe haven’t bigged their trip up as much as they should have, but it’s aimed at those who want something memorable, or maybe have clients to entertain.
29 September 2013 at 9:28 am #121622Lupine Travel were founded in 2007 and specialise in rail tours travelling via Moscow. They operate under The Package Travel, Package Tours Regulations 1992. They say;
All passengers booking with Lupine Travel Limited are fully insured for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of all monies paid to them, including repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Lupine Travel Limited.
This insurance has been arranged by Towergate Chapman Stevens through Mapfre Assistance. A certificate detailing this cover will be given to each and every passenger as evidence of cover.
29 September 2013 at 4:48 pm #121636Anyone booked or intends to book with this company? I’m interested but wouldn’t dream of going on my tod :)
29 September 2013 at 7:04 pm #121639What an opportunity to actually travel with the players and have a drinks reception.
Had it been £800 or thereabouts I might have been digging out the credit card, but £1599….
I’m guessing the smallest plane the club could get with the range to get to the depths of Russia was about 140 seats so they thought they might as well sell on the rest. No idea why it’s returning via Bristol…to drop off DW’s auntie maybe

As was stated earlier, they are dropping the team off ahead of their game at Yeovil.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Try looking at a fixture list and you may understand why they are returning via Bristol, its not rocket science.

(By law, every UK travel company which sells air holidays and flights is required to hold an ATOL)Please get your facts right before you start making false accusations. We fully abide with all Package Travel Regulation laws and our customers money is fully insured (there are several alternatives to ABTA).
We don’t sell air holidays, flights don’t come as part of our packages therefore we don’t require ATOL. We advise on where to book the cheapest flights. And regardless of this, ATOL is not needed to book standalone flights, only flights which are part of a package.29 September 2013 at 8:01 pm #121644johhny have you had any inquiries yet?
29 September 2013 at 8:13 pm #121646Yeah I’ve had several bookings so far. Most people are flying to Moscow with Easyjet, then going by train to Kazan.
