Yes but, my little card shark, my point is that Martinez doesn’t think Boozy is our weakest link so don’t expect him to look to replace him

I’ve heard that Dicko was recalled because he wasn’t getting the game time at Blackpool that Latics anticipated/wanted him to get – think he started somet like 2 games & the rest have been 10-15 minute sub appearances.
If that is the case then I don’t think it’s likely that Latics would then send him off to Crystal Palace to the manager who described him as a supersub. Also, if he couldn’t get a game for Blackpool who are upper mid-table I can’t see Holloway wanting Dicko to replace Zaha at his new club who are top (or thereabouts)

Its Appleton who has not give him any game time at Blackpool, Holloway is a big fan of him and wanted to sign him on a permenent basis.

But at the end of the day he is very young and was only getting the sort of exposure under Holloway that Martinez would do for his own young players in the same position.

The chairman is not a great admirer of Martinez, though. I heard is interview on Talksport in the summer. Can’t see it happening for that reason, let alone whether the lad himself would want to come -which I doubt.

I can see a big club buying him and letting him stay for the rest of the season.

Have you asked Roberto this question? If not how do you know?? He may think he is the weakest link but knows nobody that we can realistically capture to replace him so isn’t bothering? ;)

And I don’t expect him to replace JB, I just personally think that he is currently our worst player so I personally would want him to look for a replacement for that position. Although Espinoza’s best position is defensive midfielder (in my opinion anyway); he has played as a defender & is left footed – so I’m thinking that Bobby is viewing him as cover for Beausejour -or maybe competetion.
