the fight in the side, i mean under brucie and jewell our team pretty much always had that nasty/physical streak in them and wernt afraid to get stuck in ie cattermole brown palacios and bramble who loved a tackle.
maybe if we had this in our team the fans would take better to martinez’s way of football, also i think since bobby came we have lost the noise factor coming from es2/3 and sometimes spreading further (admittedly its still their but its nothing like it was when we had fight in the team) the jjb/DW used to be a difficult place to come due to a reletivly good atmosphere and the team constantly battling all the time which in turn made the fans louder.
so for that reason and obviiously for better entertainment i want to see that come back into this side :)me too
I wouldnt mind (as much) if they displayed more passion. I know you stand more chance of receiving a ball if you are sat in row 3 than on the pitch and we havent got the quality of players to put the theory into practice but at least look like you care
Maybe if Bobby didnt always appear to be such a gent all the time and sounded like he has passion then some people on here would shut up.
(i dont doubt he has the passion and the interviews he did with cockney latic prove it, he is a latics mon) but it would be nice to see it displayed.
Some people just don’t have that in their personality and Bob is one of them, I think. Everything he does is measured and planned. I bet you a pound to a pinch of sh!t he put those brown shoes in the wardrobe and folds and puts his cashmere scarf away every night before going to bed. Never likely to be a shouter or screamer, everything is thought out and planned in advance. Even when it goes wrong, they will not get angry because they are convinced theirs is the right way.
Nice guys will always have that thrown at them as a character flaw when things start to go wrong for them. I think the same is probably true of myself; if only I would start doing things wrong then we could maybe find out :?
