Why does someone suddenly decide to post a thread about the two seperate clubs? Seems strange dont you think?
I detest thugby and its fans for the way we were neglected, simple as that. Ask a favour in desperation and get told to fook off.
Im a Wigan Athletic supporter and thats it, the only thing I would use a cherry ribbon for is to wipe my arse.why do you have to say rugby ? were the famous wigan rugby ,you never hear any football team singing we are the famous wigan or man utd football do you…..easier to say were the famous(not any more that is) wigan wurriers .sounds better and does not make you sound rather fooking silly .

I LOVE BOTH MY CLUBS BECAUSE THEY REPRESENT ALL OVER THE WORLD THE TOWN THAT I COME FROM………..THEY MAKE ME PROUD….WHEN THE TICS BEAT THE SCOUSE AND WHEN THE WARRIORS BEAT THE WIRE……..
THE CLUBS WILL ALWAYS BE THEIR REGARDLESS OF WHO OWNS THEM OR WHO RUNS THEM…..THE CLUBS BELONG TO US…THE PEOPLE OF WIGAN….AND THE Ti%£TS WITH THE PETTY GRIPES ABOUT THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST WHO DO THEIR DAMBDEST TO PUTRIFY SUCH A GREAT TOWN SHOULD JUST FOOKIN DO ONE…………….jumps off soap box …..gets coat………..fooks off ……….but secretly wishes the pri**cks would die

sorry jay tIMO the real hatred began when Latics started to make waves in the football world, the building of the DW Stadium etc. The rugby felt put out at sharing the limelight, it’s really that simple.
Many of the people who frequent the likes of RLFans are only just out of school/college, if that. Their knowledge of their own club extends little beyond the Farrell era, yet they feel entitled to dismiss Latics support as a bunch of JCL’s, oblivious to how this club has grown over the past 15 years.
Talk to a rugby fan from the late 70’s, early 80’s, and you’ll find little of the above, dismissive, attitude. As has been stated above, a great many support(ed) both Latics and the rugby.
Latics fans old and new have justified grievances with the rugby, but few these days bother to express these unless it’s banter in the pub or a thread like this. The real dislike is for those who support their top four club from the comfort of their armchair or in the pub, yet feel justified to slag off people who support their home town football club.
Now for my opinion, Super League is as good as WWF wrestling for me, a bit of light entertainment, not to be taken seriously and in a similar way as proper wrestling is nothing like WWF, Super League is nothing like proper rugby league. Either way id rather watch paint dry.

Like you say, 2 different sports. But they’re more than happy to share with Latics when the shoes on the other foot aren’t they? When they’re on the edge, suddenly Latics are more than welcome.
