A few missing from that that you could have arguments for as well. Al Habsi, Chimbonda, Kavanagh, Kirkland, Jackson, Heskey, Cattermole, Brown, Valencia.
Leighton Baines probably our best ever left back and such a shame he didn’t go on to play for England.
Antonio Valencia did move on to greater things and probably should be in the best eleven.
Both of those should make the best Eleven and possibly should be in our best eleven if we had kept them or not.
Chimbonda right back?? For that season he was class the Judas git.Sorry lad as much as Bainsey was one of my favourites we can’t say he was the best left back we,ve had at the club. That would have to be Alan Kennedy. Scored the winner to lift the European Cup and won everything in the game with Liverpool.

If you are looking in terms of how good they were when playing for us then its Bainsey for me. The likes of Kenedey, Gemmil, Fairclough etc had seen their best days well gone when putting on a tics shirt.
I think we have to judge this on how good they were when playing for us.From Matlock to ManU
