The difference between 1 million and 1 billion is insane. 1 million seconds is 11.5 days and 1 billion seconds is 31.5 YEARS.
Our wage bill is equal to alot of non league clubs. I was under the impression we’d clear all the big earners,sell, then there’d be some reinvestment ? hardly likely with this mon at the helm. All’s I’ve seen is kids on free kids on loan while a few out our own veg their noses pushed out by players who are no better.
I thought we’d take some of that Hughes money and reinvest or is the Dummet loan the reinvestment??.
Danson fookin knew what he was taking on, Danson knew we needed to clear the decks (which we e smashed hard) Danson knew we would have to sell key players and Danson fookin knew we some need reinvestment and considering we e not a pot to p!ss in his money, “THEN” claw it back in the future once more Hughes’s Tickles are sold.

Still I heard supporters spouting absolute tosh…..Rankine has potential!! Bollocks….Thomas same….Hugill..who ???? Ramsey ,less said….Asamoah..couldn’t hold regular place in Fleetwood side. Tyrese definitely unlucky injury wise…..and then we get to Taylor…..the lad is class…..played with strikers to link with he is very good. There lies the problem no matter what bull Maloney spouts about having strikers in Taylor,Hugill,Asamoah,Aasgaard none are strikers…..total negligence for a squad to be assembled reliant on 2 untried kids 1 who is continually knackered …..Taylor busts a gut every game but too much is being asked of him…..his link up play is excellent trouble is 90% of the time he’s Mr Lonely……So as thread states our recruitment team as it stands are less than useless…….” is everyone exited at what dead rabbits they pull out the hat in January”……not me…..history will repeat itself.
Saturday for me is the turning point for our season, regardless of form or League position this game will call out Maloney tactically and all the players as to which ones are up for a 90 minute dog fight.
The biggest problem is, we are absolutely toothless up front. Hugill had a few opportunities to put things right against Chesterfield but sadly failed once again.
Dale Taylor ? simply not good enough so who ?If we lose but put up a fight I’ll be more content, I won’t be happy with losing its a hammering I fear.
If we do get stuffed and roll over for a belly scratching and a dry bummin Maloney for me needs to clear his desk Monday morning.
I just cannot see were the goals will come from to save our season. You can ping in as many balls you want but if there’s no one good enough to finish them then we’re the early Christmas goose neck rung hung outside by the neck.

I think the club have no clue as to how many regular long standing supporters are ready to throw in the towel and become “casuals” in the future seasons (if we have one) !I’m one of those. 38 years and didn’t renew. And everything I feared and predicted has come true. I’m not stupid…I could see it.
But the worst thing is, I’ve gone beyond being a casual floating fan who attends every few games. I’ve got to the point where I’ve not been for ages. I’ve done 2 homes all season. In my heart of hearts I’ve lost interest. The way things have declined, as sickened me. The way we are being ran…just seems to actually lack ambition, yet they claim differently.
I never wanted Maloney as manager. The football is awful. It’s supposed to entertain you. Nah, no way does it. I genuinely believe we are heading down and down and when our attendances get so low…minus 5k, we will be moved out to play at Leigh Sports Village.
This isn’t the Wigan Athletic I loved. The days of Mathias, even the days of Swain. We struggled and were shite, but we still got a degree of entertainment. We didn’t have a pot to piss in. But now we have…and we are worse!
Awful what’s happened to this club.I still go, still a season ticket but of late my interested has weaned. I’m not sure if it’s an age thing train ale harder to do or the football and and ambition.
I heard Danson’s son do a Starmer type speech before the Orient game basically saying we’re heading in the right direction painting a rosey picture of our future while 1000’s of fans listened on mouths open wondering who is he ?.I’m hoping & praying the penny drops with the owner and he realises we desperately need some kind of money injection otherwise L2 here we come.
To me Danson feels he’s done enough in those first 12 months funding the huge wage bill and overheads and now he’s dusted his hands down he wants some funds back i.e. Hughes and possibly Aasgaard and Tickle money.
Anyway push it to one side, we’ve a big game against Horwich today, a bad result could potentially put 1 of the 2 managers on the dole

Like Vat; I feel this is the lowest of the lows and the frustration is that Danson’s wallet is tighter than a submarine door. There was more available cash in the Stan McEwan bucket
My dad threw coins into those buckets…I remember it clearly.
I would also say that this current team we have is not a million miles from the team we cobbled together in administration. We had players like Viv Solomon-Otobor and Dan Gardner come in and play out of their skin.
This current squad, too many loans who are nowhere near good enough and who are stealing wages. I’d seriously fire every one of them off. We wouldn’t be losing much.
