Fortune 2
Holt 2 for a rival club. Nice one Rosler.
Get Grant back tomorrow Swappenchange and play Callum in position or don’t play him at all.
Fuckin idiotic tactics cost us again today.
It won’t do Swappenchange we demand better. At times we were OK today but at times we were dire.
Not good enough at all Use.
Well actually its shite.2 November 2014 at 3:10 am #134815Oh and why does our top scorer Callum have to play deep on the left and our lone striker working his stones off be forced out wide right through lack of service to foot in the box.
How fast does Fortune have to be to get on the end of his own crosses??? Eat humble pie for about the tenth time Swappenchange and get a proven striker at all levels back.2 November 2014 at 3:10 am #134816Nothing to do with shite defending then
2 November 2014 at 3:16 am #134817Well the site defending is another subject. I am all for keeping a winning team but for shires sake Rammis was fit today but didn’t Rob who isn’t good enough stated ahead of him. All down to Rosler. 2 points given away by Roslers shire tactics and selections again.

What a journey!2 November 2014 at 1:07 pm #134823Ha ha youre right there fatfan. Red Wine, Cider and yesterdays match and posting by a mobile. Apologies.
3 November 2014 at 1:14 am #134834The red wine and cider may have taken it’s toll, but there were some valid points made. For what it’s worth, here’s my two penny’s worth.
Callum is one of the most feared wingers in the Championship whether on the right wing or switching to the left wing occasionally, but was totally wasted as a left sided wing back.
The one time he reverted to the right side in the first half they hacked him down and he won a penalty.
In the second half he was switched to the right momentarily before being subbed and three players were deployed to counter his attacks and that alone made more space for the rest of the team to exploit.
We would have been far better starting with McLean in that left position, or why not just play Callum in position, I can’t understand the logic in playing him there at all.
Fortune was excellent again and has really stepped up but I do feel sorry for him with no support.
Roger was good and scored a great goal, his energy and enthusiasm lifts the crowd and that in itself helps to lift the team as a whole.
Tavernier and Figueroa coped well enough but the central defensive pair were woeful throughout.
I also thought the other three midfielders weren’t up to it yesterday, although Forshaw’s ball through to Maloney was one high point.
Cowie doesn’t do a lot wrong admittedly but he seldom does anything inspiring.
Huws was ineffective yesterday and seems to be struggling to come to terms with the hustle and bustle of Championship football.
As I said, Forshaw did play a good ball through for the goal, but didn’t really do a lot more. I think there is a decent footballer in there somewhere and hopefully he will settle in soon.
At half time I would have thought long and hard about taking Cowie, Huws and Forshaw off and replace them with Waghorn, Maloney and McLean.
I know you never do a triple substitution at half time but it certainly would have changed things around a bit.
Grant Holt would get, and assist in a pan full of goals for us with our new found lump it up to the big lad tactics, where the fuck has the crisp one touch fast flowing attacking football gone to. All we seem to do is wellie it up to Fortune and hope he holds it up long enough for the rest to catch up, which doesn’t happen too often.
Overall, there were a few better signs yesterday and hopefully he will get it right before too long.
Three points at Brighton would be welcomed.3 November 2014 at 1:43 am #134838How about playing this line up at home…
Carson
Tav Ramis Barnett Fig
Calum Forshaw Kvist MClean
Fortune Waghorn2 wingers. 2 holding midfield, Forshaw to push forward when appropriate. Waghorn fluid, could be 442 or 4411.
We have lots of attacking options but we seem scared of expressing ourselves on the pitch. Not surprising when the players have no idea whether they will be playing next game.
We can still take this division by the scruff of the neck. We have the players. Do we have the manager to try it?

That line up could be worth a try.
3 November 2014 at 2:17 am #134840Some of the players are interchangeable (don’t tell Herr Swappy ;) ) but I would build around the 2 Mcs on the wings and Fortune up front.
That’s the framework to build around.
We’ve gone nearly 5 hours without a goal at home in open play FFS until Roger stepped up.
Brentford fans criticised Rosler for being too negative. It’s not hard to see why.
The programme on Saturday had a review of 2009-10 season when we beat Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal at home. That didn’t happen by playing negatively.

Impossible line up Tuesday, Barnett is suspended for one game but yes the next home game perhaps.
I cannot believe you would leave Espinoza out after the two games he has just played. That would be typical Rosler and most of us have agreed we don’t like all these changes. From Matlock to ManU

Brighton on Tuesday is a very different story ;)

Is it you on the Red Wine and Cider, Forshaw must have done even less than you suggest, it was Espinoza who played Maloney in for the goal.

Easily the Player of the Season so far.[/quote]Agree with you about Carson, but he is the worst keeper I have ever seen with respect to penalty saves. He either dives the wrong way long after the taker has chose his corner, or he just falls to his knees whilst flapping his arms about. It would have been better if Barnett had let Hugo go one on one with Carson, he may have outwitted our Columbian friend.
