A list of Premier League players out of contract on June 1st
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/spiel … asics.html16 May 2010 at 5:29 pm #33597Would definately have a stab at Petrov and Pedersen.
We have the added bonus of the above players not having to relocate as well.16 May 2010 at 5:33 pm #33599Anonymous
But the problem of a pay packet
16 May 2010 at 5:36 pm #33601Not sure about that but i cant believe Pedersen would be more than our current crop of top earners.
I agree Petrov may be strectching it, but if we are going to do what is rumoured, and shed a load of the wage bill on players who dont get a look in (i.e de Ridder, Kapo, Koumas etc) then we may be able to.
Dont forget we’ll save a transfer fee as well.
But i’m probably being too ambitious. Leon Britton it is then.16 May 2010 at 5:40 pm #33602Would definately have a stab at Petrov and Pedersen.

Are you sure Ben Watson is out of contract dont seem like he’s been here 18 months

It looks like this list is compiled of players who are currently on a loan contract as well, hence why Ben Watson is on the list. He obviously returned to Wigan before the end of the season but my guess is the forget to take him off the list. I reckon he has at least another year left yet.
Sephton, I would play Pedersen out left with Rodallega in his rightful position through the middle. Or even in support role like he played against us at Ewood Park where he won MOM and scored a screamer. But like i have accepted, these signings are probably too ambitious.

I’d rather get Charlie Adam16 May 2010 at 6:15 pm #33611Anonymous
“Ben watson is garbage” Just about sums your knowledge of football jimmy boy you should be stripped of that captains armband and be replaced with a dunce hat
16 May 2010 at 6:25 pm #33612There’s actually a few i’d get in. Fuller would be a good shout as he would cost (obviously) nowt and his wages wouldn’t be silly. He wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice but he would certainly do as back up.
I agree about Shorey n all and would give Benjani a year as well (although his wages could be a stumbler). I’d pass on Petrov who, undoubtedly a good player, gets injured a tad too much, especially if his wages would be around 40-50 grand a week. (no idea really – just a guess).
And Kanu – 33 years old??? More like 53.
