There really is no inbetween with latics fans is there?
Coming away from oakwell, all im hearing around me is “we pi$$ this league”…”we will win it by 20 points”…
“Can see us going unbeaten all season”Last nite, its ” sack the manager”….”we wont finish top half”
When are some gonna realise, its gonna be a tough slog, we are gonna win some games, lose some games.
We are one of the big boys in this league, and teams and fans are gonna be bang up for every game. Enjoy the
Ride and support the team, and managerWe have got a good squad of players who man for man, are as good as any squad in this division, it will click, just
Calm down and keep the expectations on a level…there was 12 points last season between relegation and play offs
..its tough.Tere was an overaction to a win at barnsley, and an overaction last night….we looked soft at centre half, but thats gonna be
Fixed when players are fit, but all in all i thout it was a good game…..we came back from 0-2 down, and showed abit of fight
Which i liked.It’ll be reet.
21 August 2013 at 2:00 pm #119602It will get better i see last night like teams like doncaster who have just come up on a high and for us it will take a few games to get used to each other and a change of tactics for some players
21 August 2013 at 3:07 pm #119609“IMO it is because “little” wigan are seen by many teams in the championship ie doncaster, bournemouth & many others as “THEIR” cup final – like when we played utd, liverpool et al & will therefore raise their game. We are 3 games into a league with new players, manager & it will take time to gel. I also believe that some of our fans & many on here IMO who have underestimated this divisionh. The worst thing we could have done was hammer barnsley on the first day & suddenly everyone believes were going going to go all season undefeated. Dont forget we also have the europa league to contend with &”this could hinder any promotion prospects. Lets just see how the season pans ilout &”enjoy the ride.

21 August 2013 at 5:08 pm #119618It’s a Wigan thing. The rugby do exactly the same.
The default setting for a Wiganer is to whinge I’m convinced of it.

What a journey!23 August 2013 at 2:35 am #119687one thing that stuck out me the other night with was the hunger and desire of those Doncaster players seizing their chance of playing in a higher league.
We started very brightly but came up against a fantastic goalkeeper and to be honest were VERY VERY lucky to get that point but what a great game of football and I enjoyed it despite the result.
it was a wake up call that we needed however we did extremely well to get back those two goals and I doubt we will be as sloppy on Sunday. The moaners should get behind the team and enjoy the new challenge and it’s coming to something when a so called small club lie doncaster bring more fans than the most pointless football club ever in Dulham.
Enjoy the moments and remember a league like this one is a marathon rather than a sprint and to be honest I thought our supporters were superb the other night .We may have lost the 3000 johnny come lately tossers who have probably deserted now we are not in the so called promised land but after the noise we made the other night are we any worse off?
looking forward to Sunday!23 August 2013 at 2:41 am #119688Good post Vince, apart from “Dulham” – grow up!!! ;)
23 August 2013 at 2:48 am #119689hull city tigers FC why not Dulham FC -never has a name befitted a club more -never ever won a trophy -no fans – what’s the point????
23 August 2013 at 2:51 am #119690Childish. No more than that
23 August 2013 at 2:57 am #119691Back to back wins coming up I reckon!

looking forward to Sunday! How many wake up calls do we need??. Losing to Bournemouth should have been the first and only wake up call.
We need to quickly drop the johnny Big Bollux attitude and get fighting like we are renowned for.
I saw players on Tuesday that were strutting around like turkey cocks chest out and don’t dare to tackle me looks on their faces. This team has enough quality to win this league by Easter, but they need to understand that there are no “gimmies” in the championship.
I would like to see James Thur back in the team Sunday alongside the other James. That lad is a grafter and would be first name on the team sheet for me.
Lets kick this lone striker malarkey into touch and put the fear of god into the Boro centre backs by unleashing Holt and fortune from the off.No more wake up calls Owen, the coffee is getting cold.
