When I saw we’d signed this mon but not give Boyce a new deal, I was flabbergasted – I remember seeing him for Blackpool last year and he did a lot of huffing and puffing but never actually got the ball off anyone…
Last night .. well … What a complete performonce, played like he was in his teens never mind a 30 odd year old, chased and harried, won the ball, if he can keep this up and injury free he will be one of the key players for us this year for sure.
20 August 2015 at 11:29 pm #144297No one can play well at Blackpool with what’s going on of the pitch

No Diesel is definitely the kit man. He goes round the dressing room before the game hanging up the strips saying “Diesel fit him, Diesel bury him..”

Was a fan of him in all four games against us in the last two years to be honest.
21 August 2015 at 5:15 pm #144320In the three matches I have seen him in for us he has played really well. Quite a while since someone played in that grafter style for us. Probably Michael Brown or Lee Catermole.

I think he’s more Cattermole than Brown, because he can pass more than two yards and to someone in the same coloured shirt.21 August 2015 at 10:06 pm #144328May be a bit of a Darren Sheridan, but not as dirty.
21 August 2015 at 11:10 pm #144331All contributed a lot to the team and another from the not so faded past Graham Kavanagh. Cracking player.
21 August 2015 at 11:46 pm #144332Talking to a Blackpool fan today who said he was a grafter for them, but couldn’t pass to a tangerine shirt.
Could our manager be a better coach than some are giving him credit for? :huh:The comparison of Perkins to Cattermole and Brown ends at the graft bit. I can’t see DP missing a third of the season through suspensions. :woohoo:

First 15mins against Gillingham I thought Perkins was great. Always wanted the ball and looking to pass forward. But as the game went on you couldn’t help but notice the amount of misplaced passes he was making. My two lads didn’t rate him?
I personally would have him in the side as he has loads of energy & fight which is what we need.23 August 2015 at 3:28 pm #144358Headless chicken was what the landlord of my local called him, he’s a Blackpool fan by the way! Said he will run all day long but when he does get the ball he will invariably give it away! God loves a trier though eh!
