I took the grand kids to Blackpool last Wednesday and went into the tower circus. Guess who was sitting on the front row, none other than Mr Philip Dowd.
I didn’t go to him, he was sat with his missus and a couple of teenage kids, but he does talk to us when fourth officialling at the DW. Me and my mate always have a go and he has a bit of banter with us.
I can’t wait to hit him with I saw a proper clown at Blackpool circus, but his nose wasn’t red, routine.
By the way I agree about the wall not being back the 10 yards but we scored one and fannied around with the other and bawsed it up.
He has been one of the better refs we have had this last couple of seasons, but he has a lot of catching up to do since the gaffs at Arsenal, Blackburn etc. :ohmy:From Matlock to ManU

I once sat with Dowd in the Air France lounge at Manchester Airport when he was with Mike Dean. A right arrogant twat. Dowd, not Dean.
