I see we have been charged. Now city got a 50k fine for not controlling their players, I wonder what our fine will be? If we are fined we deserve it, and if you went on the pitch you deserve it passing on to you.

Ok and what do Man City get charged for not controlling their riotous cry baby scum behind the goals.
Can’t believe the FA have the cheek to charge us for our fans celebrating a momentous victory.

They weren’t just celebrating though were they. As is the case with all our pitch invasions over the years an element go straight to the away end and goad them but always making sure there’s a lot of distance and yellow jackets between them. I don’t think Aguero was hit as was claimed but is going into somebody’s face like that a celebratory gesture? I think not.

Agree otter, invasions get my goat, it would have been great to give them a proper clap. City fans behaved bad but that isn’t the point. If we get a 50k fine and we can identify a thousand that went on the pitch, charge em 50 quid each.

Donttalk stupid. Every time a lower league side beats a top side they pitch invade and the cameras love it

Exactly Stu. Bristol City did it this season. Rochdale fans did it when they beat Millwall
Is this a punishment for beating City?
City fans had a choice at the end. Stay and clap our celebrating fans or leave. Some chose to charge to the pitch perimeter and throw bottles and advertising boards.
It’s City who should be charged.

I did comment during the game that there was a conspicuous lack of Police within the ground. The stewards seemed light in number too, given the attendance.

Whoever planned it, the numbers, got it very wrong. It’s that simple. Club had been punished, rightly. The people who went on the pitch were idiots, but there was hardly any deterrent, with a lack of security ring around the pitch.

Hasn’t helped that it was a live game on BBC either. Blanket coverage, and the Aguero incident didn’t help.

The people who planned it were probably expecting a routine city romp and so weren’t expecting so many jubilant latics fans at the end. Hope we don’t get a points deduction.

No Vat what they didnt consider was a Latics win. It wasn’t meant to happen. We were meant to lose and wander sadly back home. We took everyone by surprise in an amazing cup upset.
Saying that the old bill seemed to just stroll in to the ground once the City fans started their riotous behaviour. Charges should be against City alone. Jesus can’t believe you could get charged for celebrating.

13,000 managed to celebrate without being nobs and running on the pitch.

The club deserve a hefty fine, and the pricks that were on the pitch should foot the bill.

Can’t remember us getting in trouble for invading pitch and carrying Harry Lyon to the tunnel after another heroic cup win.
Likewise can’t remember fines for going on pitch after promotions and other cup wins.
Now the City win ranks high up there with all the memories.
Like I said before the City scum were the ones causing problems. Bottles, coins and boards weren’t flying from the celebrations into the city fans they were aimed from the city fans towards the celebrations.

Video does show bottles from the Wigan fans into the City fans, which is when it kicked off.

It wasn’t just a pitch invasion though, was it. All the after match analysis centred on that Aguero incident and the confrontation with the City fans which detracted from the fantastic performance and result. And many of those old enough to have known better were only there for that one game. Supporters my arse!

Ok lads let the FA ban us from next season’s FA Cup. That should please many who blamed the cup this season for some shit league results.
Hey why not go the whole hog and get us deducted 12 points as well.
A few fans danced in front of the City fans. The City fans who should have been out of the stadium.

“Some people are on the pitch”

                            “They think it’s all over”

                            “It is now”

FFS fellas it’s football, people invade pitches after incredible wins. End of the day some of the City fans acted like spoilt kids!
