I haven’t posted here before so hello to you all, although I do use the Vital forum where everyone is getting a bit excited about the Blackpool game and giving as much support as possible to the players.
A suggestion on there is as follows:
1. Everyone in the ground and in their seats 20 mins before the start of the game making massive noise.
2. Everyone wearing blue & white or black
3. Everyone take a Wigan scarf
4. Absolutely massive reception when the players come onto the pitch before kick-off, time for scarf swirling (is that what its called)
5. Don’t stop singing while the game is ongoing.
6. Win, draw or lose, massive reception for the players at the end.
You are all invited to join in.
I’m not saying it is a must but I feel some extra special support on Saturday could help enormously.
Let me know your thoughts and if you are up for it. If you are then please pass the message on to everyone you know who is going to the match.
If not then I apologise for wasting your time.

Our team has the ability to go there and tonk them and im sorry but if they can’t get up for a game of that magnitude and get a win then they deserve to go down. Im sick of hearing about near chances and unlucky in front of goal. Truth is they haven’t been good enough and it is time they earned their wages. Too many imposters in our squad. Martinez has had 2 years to get rid of the so called lesser players but for me has brought in worse than we had. Even Marcus Bent was better than what we have now.
For the sake of explaining myself about the Marcus Bent thing. What im talking about is determination and effort. Okay he was not as skilful as Rodallega or his name was not as exotic as Di Santo but he put the ball in the back of the net when needed, he ran for 90 mins going for every ball, He did not cost millions and come with an expectation, He was on loan from a side in the championship who ended up going down, He put the effort in because he did not want to go back there and he wanted to make an impression. I don’t think there is anyone who could disagree with his effort, We could do with a team of Bent’s, Bullard’s and Eaden’s etc. Not world beaters but show enough passion to get jobs done tidily. The leagues are scattered with consistent performers but because the media does not rave about them they aren’t hyped up.

It is a post intent on rallying support when it’s needed most, and yet again you have turned it into an anti-Martinez thread.
You are basically condoning booing, or at the very least not applauding them if they don’t win.
Edit: I think you’ll find McGoose, a rugby supporter, is taking the p1ss out of you. All those times that Latics supporters have accused the rugby lot of being glory hunters, and when times don’t look as rosy, you’re willing to turn your back on the team you profess to support.

However, you are wrong about us being down if they lose on Saturday. There will still be 5 games left and enough points to keep us up. Yes it will be harder but not impossible. It will be a little easier for the team if the fans turn it up a notch or two in the remaining games which is what is being asked for.
Try putting your opinions to one side until the end of the season when you know the outcome and can do a complete post mortem. What has gone cannot be changed however you can make a difference with your support in the remaining games.

I’ll be as giddy as a baby giraffe – and probably as stable – by 3pm. However, I’ve never been in a ground 20 minutes before kick-off in my life so I’m afraid I can’t comply with that one.
My colour of clothing depends on what my wife has ironed and I will only be carrying a phone, a wallet, door keys and a change of skids, so no space for a scarf.
Other than that I’m in.
Oh, and don’t worry about Yosser. He’ll be watching it at home on his girlfriend’s lap top.

Im all for supporting the team, When it’s due. I wont applaud lack of effort is what i said. Just because they have played well for about a month and still got nothing does that mean the rest of the season is excused. Short memories you lot, Roll over and get bummed off anything said to make things look positive although in reality you know it is bullshit.

Standish i dont care what mcgoose is or says. I support rugby too but how he can take the piss if he is about a team on the down such as latics is also laughable, Rugby is imploding, Dressing room has been lost and control has gone. Rugby and football fans alike know what that is like, Only go in one direction after that.

No it isn’t, it isn’t even wit. The real wit was me knowing he isn’t at school because i know who he is, i have played football against him on many occasions. Last post on this lick my arse thread, I don’t think i have said anything ridiculous but the propaganda men on here like turning things into other things and thty tries to tag along because he isn’t clever enough to come up with anything of his own.
