Millwall again. Could be.
14 February 2016 at 5:11 pm #147224That’s a bit negative. We’re still in with a great chance of automatic promotion.
14 February 2016 at 6:10 pm #147228That’s a bit negative. We’re still in with a great chance of automatic promotion.Exactly! Long way to go yet. Plenty of points up for grabs. Win on saturday, results go our way & we go 2nd.
Millwall was the auto windscreens final donny. I’d be more worried facing gillingham ;)
14 February 2016 at 8:17 pm #147229That’s a bit negative. We’re still in with a great chance of automatic promotion.Correct GL; a win next week followed by Walsall dropping points the week after at Burton and things could look a lot different.
Also Gillingham go to a re-vitalised Oldham, next week. Gillingham have still to play Walsall, Coventry, Burton & Millwall.
Still 45 points to play for, so it’s far from being over !14 February 2016 at 8:18 pm #147230That’s a bit negative. We’re still in with a great chance of automatic promotion.

Yeah and plenty of points to be dropped if we have any more “off days and blips” like yesterday!
Fuck the EFL
14 February 2016 at 9:43 pm #147231Still 45 points to play for, so it’s far from being over !And Sharp’s “100 points” expectation is still on!
14 February 2016 at 10:53 pm #147232That’s a bit negative. We’re still in with a great chance of automatic promotion. Not meant to be negative. Just playing out a scenario. Another one could be Millwall in the semis and Gillingham in the final.
With the squad we have it should be automatic but not many more performances like yesterday or it will be play offs at best.14 February 2016 at 11:15 pm #147233Jees donny & bullit. Last few weeks have seen some brilliant performances with results to boot. One bad performance & suddenly its the play-offs again.
Look if we get promoted, so be it.
If its the play-offs, so be it.
If we do neither & its league 1 football again next season, so be it.15 February 2016 at 12:33 am #147234If we don’t do it this season i’d say next season is a certainty, the amount of players that have come in and those who have left in the last 12 months is unreal, we’ve achieved more than i’d hoped already so if its the play off’s bring it on.
15 February 2016 at 1:55 am #147235Not even Bobby, sorry Gary was happy yesterday and he was partly responsible. Also I am always the first to give credit when it is due and I do agree we have looked much better since the second half against Gillingham until yesterday when we reverted back to the slow tempo football. We may have played a nil nil draw at home to a lower side but it is not the nil nil draw but the way we played the nil nil draw which was with just bloody boring football.

If we do neither & its league 1 football again next season, so be it.Well i just hope the gaffer and players are not thinking this way, we’ve gone from automatic promotion to play offs now we are talking playing in League 1 again next season.
Lets just throw the towel in now and go for a mid table finish, the squad we have and playing to our potential we should be well capable of holding our own in the Championship the hard bit is getting there, GC needs to get tough and stop trying to keep everyone happy, he should know his first eleven by now, its up to the players to prove they are worth a start when given the chance!
On another note, i noticed John Sheridan never stopped organising his team on Saturday, shouting encouragement and talking to his players at every opportunity while Caldwell stood with his hands in his jacket pockets looking lost….Cue Barrow!
Fuck the EFL
15 February 2016 at 1:15 pm #147237Give Oldham some credit. They strangled us in midfield and for the most part managed Yanic well. Top away display from them.

As donny said, even caldwell wasnt happy with saturdays performance. I dont think caldwell & the players deliberately went out to play an unattractive & boring 0-0 draw, its just that oldham (who need the points for other reasons) played a way that for them worked & fair play to them.
Yes, this squad of players should get promoted, but it doesnt always work that way. Check the premier league table for evidence.15 February 2016 at 2:03 pm #147240Jees donny & bullit. I’m guessing the running of man-management training courses isn’t your fulltime profession!People were up in arms last week when he didn’t pick Wabara, but we won two-nil. So this week when he put him back in the team people are asking why he’d changed a winning side.
Also, McAleny had a good game last week and scored, but Caldwell was criticised when he kept him in the side instead of Vuckic – who people have criticised for wasting too many chances in previous games!
Caldwell was constantly shouting at the players on Saturday and I watched and heard him roasting – amongst others – Wildschut, McAleny, and Power.
And…something I’ve never seen before, a piece of paper was even handed from the touchline at one point – which the players passed amongst themselves. So unless it was note asking for contributions towards Graham Barrow’s birthday present, I’m guessing it was a tactical message.
Just because Caldwell isn’t waving his arms around and leaping David Pleat-like down the touchline, don’t think he isn’t issuing instructions or changing things.

Fuck the EFL
