26 May 2019 at 9:17 pm #178980Makes you realise our two relegations to league 1 and then two promotions as Champions is not too be sniffed at UTFT.

The grass is not always greener on the other side. Powell will find that out at Stoke. Big clubs have big demands and big expectations.
26 May 2019 at 9:36 pm #178986Grigg has scored goals for everyone in league 1 except sunderland. Looks like you got our luck with strikers muttHe’ll get another chance to shine in League One again next season, unless they don’t retain him???

At 4 million quid horc I don’t think they have any option other to retain him. Nobody else is going to pay any kind of money for him so they are lumbered with him.
26 May 2019 at 9:48 pm #178988Hope Frank Lampards Derby County can the job. Yes the media are annoying but their fans are ok as opposed to Villa fans

It certainley seems that they are not too impressed with Mr Grigg on that board.
26 May 2019 at 10:34 pm #178993Bank of England club. Parachute payments. 25 thousand plus crowds. Staying down. Who would have thought? Oh dear.
Ross out Mutty?Nope – give him a chance to add to what we’ve got & ditch some of the dead wood, but if we are not pissing it by the end of October he goes.
Ironic that you seem to have the impression that large crowds guarantee you success. As a Latics fan, that surprises me.
By the way – Grigg would only have cost £4m if Sunderland reached the premier league with Grigg still under contract. The result today has probably cost WAFC around £1m in lost transfer fee, and around £130,000 in lost gate receipts for a game at home to Charlton.

Ideal scenario is that Derby get promotion so Villa, another BIG club don’t get to where they “deserve to be” and Derby fail miserably without Lampard.
And they cease to be Frank Lampard’s Derby County.
If he can fail at Chelsea then that’s an added bonus.26 May 2019 at 11:28 pm #178998Bank of England club. Parachute payments. 25 thousand plus crowds. Staying down. Who would have thought? Oh dear.

It certainly as cost us Mutts but at least you lads will have the chance to avenge your Checkatrade trophy final defeat and break that Wembley monkey. You will get up automatically next season and if played in the right position and given some decent service Grigg will play a big part in that.26 May 2019 at 11:30 pm #178999Hope Frank Lampards Derby County can the job. Hopefully it’s Derby as we have another sell on clause with Derby for Carson.26 May 2019 at 11:53 pm #179000Bank of England club. Parachute payments. 25 thousand plus crowds. Staying down. Who would have thought? Oh dear.
