Just read this article elsewhere, which seems to explain the position.

We want as many of our people there as possible next week, albeit a full house might be expecting too much.
We will be 2 games away from the “richest game in club football” after all B)
2 May 2014 at 12:53 pm #130563Yes its been an expensive season…..but £20 for a home game and people are moaning. Isn’t this what we as fans should want, all these games and excitement following the lads. Get your backsides down there next week and cheer us on to glory.“Wiganers in not knowing when they’re on to a good thing shock”
Or “Wiganers wanting sommmert for nowt” shock – again! Beggars belief, really

I read there were just over 3500 Blackpool there in a crowd of about 19k so about 15.5k Latics even with the telly.
I know the rugby lot don’t seem to turn up for their play off games but from memory ours have always been a higher attendance than normal.
If it’s the Friday night the “school in the morning” parents probably won;t keep their kids away either2 May 2014 at 2:35 pm #130566It’s unreserved seating in the South Stand by the way, even if you have a season ticket.
2 May 2014 at 2:43 pm #130567Why have unreserved seating for season ticket holders when we have had the same seat all season what a joke
2 May 2014 at 3:00 pm #130568That’s the question the bloke getting his tickets next to me asked. He didn’t get any kind of meaningful explanation from the lady serving him.
I think it’s because it’s less aggravation for them not to allocate the seats specifically to each season ticket holder.
The West and East stands are not unreserved seating and it does take more time for them to be allocated, as I found out earlier.2 May 2014 at 4:04 pm #130569How does the Fast print at home work?
I have just booked my ticket through this, but just get a message and an e-mail that says my booking has been completed.
Isn’t there something with a barcode to scan?
2 May 2014 at 4:11 pm #130571You’ll get a follow up e-mail with a PDF attachment to it – that’s your ticket
The bar code is on there – Print it off, fold it up & stick it in that turnstile gizmo come match day2 May 2014 at 4:12 pm #130572You’ll get a follow up e-mail with a PDF attachment to it – that’s your ticket

2 May 2014 at 4:29 pm #130573Proceeds from play-off ticket sales are divided between the Football League and the competing clubs.
The league take a 50% cut with the four clubs divvying-up the other half of the pot.
Prices cannot be increased for the play-offs but the option is there to decrease if agreement can be reached with the team you play.

2 May 2014 at 5:41 pm #130575But we don’t know who we’re playing, and we need to get the tickets sold, so we can’t negotiate the price it would seem.
2 May 2014 at 7:04 pm #130576Bit pricey if we play Derby:
2013/14 Season Ticket Holders: £25 for Adults, £17.50 for Senior Citizens, £14 for Under 18s & £7.50 for Under 12s.
Non 2013/14 Season Ticket Holders: £32 for Adults, £22.50 for Senior Citizens, £18 for Under 18s & £10 for Under 12s.

Surprised at the amount the football league take. 50% seems a bit excessive?
