Just been on the online ticket office and it looks like almost every block is under 25% full. Hope sales pick up over the next couple of days, all ive seen over the last few days is season ticket holders moaning about having to pay. I dont get it, we had to pay for play offs in 2000 and 2001, we pay for cup games, i think £20 for a semi final is a bargain
6 May 2014 at 5:53 pm #130688£20 for a seat, a pint, a pie…and a cushion would be nice.
Would a massage at half time be too much to ask?
It’s been a long season. Have fans had enough, or are they saving up for yet another trip to Wembley?

The 2nd leg at Loftus Rd has almost sold out for home fans and its double the price.

Disappointing yes, a surprise no. That’s why some of us hoped ST holders would get in free
6 May 2014 at 7:06 pm #130691our form of late will not get folk buzzing with excitement
cant wait for it to end then HOLLIDAYS and then back to a fresh start and new season in the championship in august
untill then enjoy your holls its goodnight from me ;)6 May 2014 at 11:31 pm #130703anybody else in the play offs would sell out but oh no not wigan fans we have to moan and complain and say we’re not going. Not having a go at the people who will be there but its the play offs ffs, should be a 20,000 crowd but looks as though we will be a laughing stock on tv with a half empty stadium, pissis me right off.
6 May 2014 at 11:37 pm #130704Wiganers moan at anything what is going to cost them money jesus people were making excuses for not going to the fa cup final
7 May 2014 at 3:25 am #130707The west and east stands look two thirds full.
The south stand does look empty, perhaps the usual spectators have transferred to the sides.
I’d say 10,000 home tickets have been sold so far. This might grow to a total attendance of 15,000 on the night.
7 May 2014 at 3:33 am #130708I’ll be getting my 3 tomorrow !!
7 May 2014 at 3:45 am #130709I reckon a lot of the season ticket holders in the South stand will prob just pay on the day. This unreserved seating idea, for me, is unpopular and will actually put people off getting tickets in advance.
7 May 2014 at 3:55 am #130710Wiganers moan at anything what is going to cost them money jesus people were making excuses for not going to the fa cup finalThat told you everything you needed to know about the town of Wigan as a whole (not necessarily Latics fans). Although unlike Millwall and others, we could say at least all our Cup final support were genuine fans, you’d expect that the some of the town would have got on the bandwagon for the biggest sporting event in the history of Wigan to make up the 25,000….but no, a fair chunk of the town made no effort to get down there and sat on its collective backside (probably in King St etc)
Not having a go at any genuine Latics fans who couldn’t get there for whatever reason, as we all know the prices were ridiculous and not everyone could make it.

10,000+ of those who went to the FA Cup Final (inc me and my son) were bandwaggoners. Your crowds of less than 15,000 home fans make this as clear as daylight.
7 May 2014 at 11:29 am #130713Wow! Bandwagon jumpers attracted to a glamour game!! Whatever next? Bearing in mind the cup attendance in the rugby match last week (you didn’t seem to comment about that for some reason), it looks like we have two teams in town suffering from the same problem.
7 May 2014 at 1:05 pm #130714I can’t see the crowd being as low as some here are speculating for the following reasons:
1. ES2 is already full
2. We’ve always been well-supported in play-offs and, unlike in thugby, it’s a proper match without another chance to qualify the week after
3. 15,000 home fans against Blackpool
4. QPR should bring a fewI’m saying 17-18,000, which is fairly respectable.
And even in the second tier, another season comfortably eclipsing the lodgers’ support.
7 May 2014 at 11:30 pm #130721hardly going to be a mad rush when we are playing arguably one of the smallest clubs in London on a Friday night when it’s live on sky tv. I reckon a gate of about 15000 will be present which all in all won’t be bad given that they won’t bring that many and some people who support us off and on might stay in the pub.
Nothing will be decided on Friday anyway and I reckon a few empty seats might turn off some of their big time Charlie’s and give us the edge on the night.
Let’s just get something on Friday night to make sure it’s a real cup final on Monday at the sub buteo stadium although please no more penalty shoot outs ! -
