That’s not going to happen, because his salary is 30k a week. That’s why he’s not gone out on loan of late. Plenty clubs would like him, but can’t afford him.
The thing is Maloney is a very poor manager, Hibernian sussed that out within around 10 games and he was fired, he can’t motivate players, surely any footballer young or old can see this, once you piss off a group of players their heads go down and you won’t get a tune from them.
Very poor manager and coach that employs poor tactics.
Yeah, he’s shocking. Only got cut slack because of his history with Latics, but he’s actually clueless. He’s going to take us down if they stick with him.
Wait til Saturday when we’ve a 41 year old in net as first choice keeper and quite likely also without Asgaard as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone came in for Kerr too. Come Saturday, we could be staring Lg2 in the face. If this happens and we end up so weakened, I hope everyone shows their anger next week.
VAT, the fans won’t show any anger mate we have the softest and most thickest fans in the country, at the Crawley debacle in injury time the dickheads in ES2 started singing “Three little birds, everything’s gonna be alright” most idiots in the other stands clapped along. Unbelievable!
Then at full time the PA system kicked in with the same song.
We should be showing our discontent on how the club is being run, no wonder Danson takes the piss!

I know ! anyone would have thought we won. Oh wait a minute, we did ,fans celebrating a win ,unbelievable ! I think it’s called supporting your team you should try it sometime , who knows you might enjoy it .
We got battered for most of the game against Crawley yes Crawley we also got a scrawpy OG.
One goal in three games an own goal and the clowns sing and clap ‘everythings gonna be alright’ carry on the way we are and you’ll be ‘supporting’ a L2 club next season.

Ive got to be honest, even though I’m currently staying away, I was following the stats on Flash Score. When I read they had had about 70% possession, it was very alarming. We play a style…so called…thats all about keeping possession of the ball. Well, clearly we weren’t.
Fans are starting to vote with their feet now, and my dad and my lads who still go said it was the lowest crowd they’d seen in years. And it’s going to get worse.
We’ve a clueless manager and an owner who will not spend any money. Richest owner we could have, and likely will ever have, and he doesn’t seem arsed. And they won’t sack Baloney because no other fecker would take the job under such constraints.
Anyway, I’m off to Poland in the morning. By the time I get back we might have a 41 year old as first choice keeper and also be short of Thelo, potentially our best chance of getting a match winner, with the deadline on Friday.
It’s great isn’t it? If the above happens, I hope there’s 5000 on next home game. It would serve them right.

It was a massive three points on Saturday we all knew how important the result was so at full time the celebrations were understandable . We are going through a difficult period at the moment but all clubs do. The transfer window doesn’t help. We are like sitting ducks hoping we are left alone but the whole system is geared up for the big clubs. If we lose a couple of players on deadline day we will be in big trouble .It’s alright saying turn the offers down but you have agents in the background unsettling players and pushing for moves. The season will only really get going when the window closes , hopefully we will still have a competitive squad.
Now Ramsdale has agreed a fee with Southampton and if the rumours are anything to go by we could be without a 1st team recognised keeper in goal for this Saturday.
We could potentially sell Tickle then get him loaned back but that would leave Arsenal with only two 1st team keepers which I very much doubt they’d be prepared to do.
Look, it doesn’t matter was state the clubs in whether were a buying or a selling club we will always be prone to been cherry picked at the last minute and there ain’t much we we can do about it.
I always thought we’d need a good clear out of all the high earners before we could start a rebuild job but I honestly didn’t think any young player was up for grabs at the same time.
Some were arguing we can’t compete with Carlisle for wages regarding Jordan Jones but I think it wasn’t his weekly wage that was the issue, it was the length of contract at nearly 30 years of age and to be honest I have to agree with the club. 3 years for someone who’s touching 30 would have been a bad investment.
Josh Stones ? I don’t get the loaning of him out but after digging deeper and listening to a few people in the know it seems he is injury prone and struggles to keep himself fit.
We’ve had a full transfer window and signed 4 while potentially 18 leave and we’ve a small army of loanees arrive.
Is that building for the future ?
Like f*ck, it’s surviving hand to mouth on minimal rations. Were a club on a crash diet then when we hit our ideal weight we decided to go abit longer and now we look unhealthy and emaciated and we’ve no intention of getting back to anything that resembles a healthy state because it’s cheaper to run this way.
I said it before, very rarely in all my time have I felt the lack of with my club. I always said, when it becomes a dredge a struggle to go games because the passions not there I’ll stop. Saturdays crowd was a sign of things to come, people not bothered coupled with Sky Sports+ allowing nearly every game to be watched in the comfort of your living room or dodgey boozer.
The way we’re going I’ve probably this and one more season in me and if there’s no sign of a footballing defibrillator I’ll call it a day, sad after 50 years but that’s for me is how bad it’s got

Read an interview in the fanzine with former chairman Bill Kenyon and after reading it was struck with the similarities of the present era to the one he was in back in the eighties.
Selling players and making do is a recipe for disaster for a club like Latics and the basement beckons and even beyond in my opinion.
Having a break myself this year due to family issues , watched them since early 1979.
