The game will be shown live on ITV1 from 4.00 p.m. for those that can watch it then.
Hopefully they will have worked out how to close the roof if it is raining.
Is there a legitimate reason why the roof couldn’t be shut two hours before kick off last night??
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

When all the polish come over to england. Our government is quick to put a roof over their heads. It would have been nice of them to return the favour before kick off last night
17 October 2012 at 4:50 pm #95099Apparently it was too wet and windy to shut it last night
17 October 2012 at 5:38 pm #95103I’ve heard 2 reasons why they couldn’t close it. One is Griff’s reason (apparently however it’s designed means that it can’t be operated in the rain) & the other is that FIFA regulations state that if the training sessions have been held with/without the roof open then the match has to be played with/without the roof open.
Actually that is more a reason as to why it was open in the first place & then a reason as to why they couldn’t shut it when it was lashing it down17 October 2012 at 7:03 pm #95115When all the polish come over to england. Polish people come to the UK to work and earn money. They are not benefit scroungers and therefore, they pay for their housing.
A majority of them are skilled and a lot of them have a much higher level of education than a number of poeople who frequent this board.
17 October 2012 at 7:57 pm #95124I thought the complaint is usually “they come over here pinching our jobs”.
You can’t have xenophobia both ways you know, Sir Dave.

Clearly a joke for thick ‘b****ds’ then. Funnily enough, that joke hasn’t done the rounds in my social circle.
‘no wonder it’s the same old people posting on here’ – yes, because more of your anti-rugby posts would bring ’em flocking in.

Why is it a joke, it isn’t remotely funny? In fact, as far as I can see it’s pretty accurate from skimnming quickly through it so as wind-ups/jokes go, it fails miserably. Maybe I’m just not thick enough to get it.
I wish it was the same old people posting on here, with a few notable exceptions lost on the way. That way we might have a decent forum.
18 October 2012 at 2:02 pm #95186To be fair, I could see it was a tongue in cheek remark/joke and jokes aren’t really meant to be analysed for factual content. It is hard to get away from the fact that the Polish do have a fair bit of stigma attached to them as regards to jobs in the UK as they are predominant in the amount of immigrants from East Europe.I am on the fence here, like I said pros and cons but come on guys lighten up a little !
18 October 2012 at 2:13 pm #95187I must be being a bit thick here. I can see that SDW’s comment was maybe tongue-in-cheek but I thought he was saying that the report in the link was a joke. if so, I’m missing it completely.
Am I having a pink* moment?
* blonde moment for baldies ;)
