May be true tomorrow.
Can’t decide whether I feel sorry for them or not. Dare say they have decent fans who have been dropped on from a great height – and then the other side of me thinks of that tattooed guy with the ridiculous hat and the bell, and I think they deserve all they get!

Well I do feel sorry for them if you think about the way the game has gone with all these foreign money men who have no real feeling for the sport buying into some clubs, it was inevitable this could happen. Man Ure and Liverpool probably the biggest clubs on the planet have not escaped this modern day phenominum and are now trying their damndest to rid themselves of their present owners. Also in Pompeys case and Brighton both these clubs have been faced with constant battles for donkeys years with their local councils who have continually blocked their attempts to relocate to bigger stadiums which would have seen them bring in much needed revenue. Dont forget we were under threat of expulsion from the league coz of the state of dear old Springy but we were lucky enough to have a council who along with Mr Whelan could see that Robin Park was the right choice and gave full backing in the project. What has gone on at Portsmouth is a disgrace and no fan whoever they support deserves that so I cant help feeling sorry for them
I hope they survive but have no sympathy for them. A small club spent spent spent, allowing the players took extra payments via off shore accounts, not wonder the tax man is livid. They outbid large clubs for players by paying huge wages and transfer fees, the smaller clubs didnt stand a chance. Yes it brought some success but did any of them really think it wasnt going pop at some point !
