At least the ball was played forward for the penalties.
Ouplayed and outclassed by a fitter, hungrier, better and much more positive side. We were dreadfull again. Huge improvements are going to have to be made to even dream of getting promoted.5 December 2015 at 9:58 pm #146088At least the E2 lot won’t have to change the lyrics to that illiterate song they sing!

Ouplayed and outclassed by a fitter, hungrier, better and much more positive side. We were dreadfull again. Huge improvements are going to have to be made to even dream of getting promoted.I think that summary is a bit too flattering for Barnsley, they played OK against a team who had 9-10 players off form. There was only Power and Grigg did owt, the rest couldn’t pass water. Barnsley just managed to scrape through on penalties despite that fact.
If GC stops fekin about with the team, trying to make all the players happy and sticks with his best 11, we will muller Barnsley at their place. It wasn’t a surprise that they scored their first goal down our right side, when GC played a left footer in the right wing back role in front of an inexperienced centre half. I admit his options were limited with Love and Daniels out, but you could tell the lad was struggling. He looked a different proposition when moved to the left side in the second half, but then GC spoiled it again by switching Yanick to the right wing. Very puzzling decisions to say the least. Well done Barnsley and good luck in the northern area final.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!5 December 2015 at 10:20 pm #146090On current form the season is in danger of fizzling out,the danger signs have been there for a while with us scraping results come on Gary on wards and upwards.
5 December 2015 at 10:23 pm #146091Like I have said on numerous occasions if we come up against a midfield which are willing to come at us like they did today three times they broke through the middle from the halfway line without a challenge our middle two are just not good enough and for our player of the season you are really having a laugh
5 December 2015 at 10:28 pm #146092Very few positives today. GC seems to be reverting back to his cautious ways again? It’s hard work watching us at the moment and if GC carries on then the crowds will drop even more.
Great opportunity for a trip to Wembley thrown away today..5 December 2015 at 10:34 pm #146093Like I have said on numerous occasions if we come up against a midfield which are willing to come at us like they did today three times they broke through the middle from the halfway line without a challenge our middle two are just not good enough and for our player of the season you are really having a laughI couldn’t work our formation out at times today. On more than one occasion we had two lines of players, defence & up front. Midfield pushed up far to much which left big holes in midfield.
If you are referring to Perkins, then I think it’s a bit harsh to single him out. There were much worse players than him. Jacobs was woeful again today, couldn’t pass water.5 December 2015 at 10:47 pm #146095Gc needs to stop tinkering with formations…….2 players ok rest crap.Recent games show we will need a mahoosive improvement to even stay in a play off position. Face it Barnsley were pants and we should have taken game to them.Yanic on from start but Mr cautious blows a confidence boosting Wembley trip.Won’t get many better opportunities in the future than today.Gc seems reluctant to take early initiative, look how many times we’ve gone behind particularly away from home.Season heading to halfway for Christ’s sake take the shackles off before we’re playing to a 1/4 capacity home gate !!!!
5 December 2015 at 11:03 pm #146097We should be comfortably beating a side languishing at the bottom of the league, especially when we are the hosts as well!
5 December 2015 at 11:14 pm #146098If you think our two centre midfielders pushed up way too far we r in trouble and yes I am talking about perkins he gives nothing only sideway and back passes his forward passes seem to reach the opposition 90% of the time and before you say he works hard I agree he runs about all day
5 December 2015 at 11:32 pm #146099We haven’t got a creative midfielder just chasers and Perking who runs all day breaking play up.Been the issue all season and the reason why we get over until in the middle.

5 December 2015 at 11:37 pm #146101I thought that was Max Power’s worst game in a Wigan shirt. Dreadful.
They wanted it more than we did that simple. I’d have taken a loss today tjough if we win in 2 weeks. Wembley would be nice but promotion is the aim.
5 December 2015 at 11:55 pm #146103Was it the club’s Christmas do last night? They played like they’d all been on the piss.

Power our best player, Grigg mom for his goals.
No mention of Davies? different gear when he came on.
Perkins only pass forward was his pen.Really poor all round, take the shackles off FFS before it’s too late.
