And Wigan aren’t down yet.
Anything could happen.
Potentially some tasty games next weekend.25 April 2015 at 10:45 pm #141628I reckon due to the fact they play with strikers they will go up and also Milton Keynes who also play with strikers will too. Our shite management don’t feel strikers are important and this unfortunately will relegate us. Lesson learnt for next year??? I think not!

26 April 2015 at 1:27 am #141642Keep the faith Donny; remember all those Jimmy Bibby types who ridiculed us for following Gordon Milne’s blue and white boys. How remarkable have we been since those days, constantly kicking dirt in their face. CMON the TICS

How remarkable have we been since those days, constantly kicking dirt in their face. CMON the TICSAli , Gordon Milne’s team had 2 men up top played with full backs and centre halves not this modern shite of having wing backs who are constantly caught out of position thus exposing their central defence and expecting midfield players to suddenly become their cover. When are we going to admit that we are no longer in the greed league and re-adapt to league football?. Today in a game we had to win at all cost we started with no natural attackers. Gordon Milne’s Latics were a dream to watch when the game was simple and unwashed with foreigners. I want to give Gary a chance but after today’s starting line up Malky may as well still be in charge.

Ste, I’m sure if we had any (who were fit and available), they’d have started the game.

Apart from the bench do we not have a couple out on loan somewhere? Being bereft of a regular striker or two has certainly aided our demise to the lower leagues ! You can plead austerity measures all you want but we have had strikers and chose not to use them! Even to the football outsider it ain’t rocket science !

With regard to the 2 on loan, I’ve no idea what the terms of those loans are, but I’d assume that if they could have been recalled, then they would have.
The issue was whether or not Caldwell had much choice in his selection. That ain’t rocket science either.
26 April 2015 at 2:25 pm #141669Since when was Billy McKay given a chance to prove himself ?.10 mins here 20 there whilst we persist with either Fortune on his own or a winger standing in.His goal to game ratio at Inverness 110 games ,54 goals so he has something about him.As another poster stated how could we have been any worse if we had started the pair of them but previous 2 managers refused to so no goals means league 1 .
26 April 2015 at 3:11 pm #141670Calamity had a choice but chose to weaken the left side and chose not to have any confidence in any of his strikers. It wouldn’t have mattered last week and this if he had tried two youngsters up top. He chose a stupid line up. He must have learned this off the last four managers he has worked under. Four managers who have undone everything that had been done by Jewell and Bruce in making us a force to be reckoned with on a national scale. Five managers, three seasons and two relegations. That’s what their football has brought us.
