Figz arse must still be sore from the pummeling Townsend gave it.
Kone was unusually absent.
Gomez’s passing was awful giving the ball away a number of times.
Still there were plenty of positives to take from this game and I think if Zamora hadn’t been sent off it would of been an easy win.
Not using it as an excuse but once they put 9 men behind the ball and tried to hit us on the break via Townsend they caused us far more problems than when they had 11 men on the pitch.
No positive spin from Martinez to give anyone on here ammo he was deservedly unhappy and according to Maloney expressed that at half time.
Ever since last week when they lost to Fulham,every so called expert reckoned that after QPR beat Wigan they are back in with a chance well they didnt and they are going down.As for our performance this was probably as big a game as we have had all season and they may have suffered from nerves.With Villa, Barcodes and Southampton winning and Norwich getting a point a whole heap of pressure was put on the boys today along with the enormity of the game.A point is a great result if the performance wasnt.If Blunderland and Clay yeads lose next week it will look a lot rosier for us.We aint down yet.
