I bet Millwall will be encouraged by our poor performance. Kone looks the type of player who needs a 2nd forward to play off. I lost count the number of times he chest it down and no one nr by.
And what was with the fig free kick ?? , why didn’t we just take a pop like our goal , pishing around laying it off. It’s not like we don’t have the players who can’t score from a dead ball.
Taking one game at a time , I just hope to god we get our shhitt gether for Saturday.

Todays daily star gives McCarthy as man of the match and rates him a 9.Yet some of you are slating him on here.
He’s getting slated on here because he had a piss poor game.. just like the majority of our team.
To give him a 9 rating is ridiculous.
8 April 2013 at 4:01 pm #108213What exactly are you criticising in McCarthy’s game? Was it his effort, his decision making or his ability?
Did McCarthy do what Martinez told him? Were Martinez’ tactics to blame?
It takes two people to make a good pass. When passing failed, was McCarthy the player at fault? Which players could have run into better positions?
8 April 2013 at 4:17 pm #108215I didnt think McCarthy had a great game yesterday and struggled to create anything really.
But he was no worse than anyone else bar Alcaraz and in all fairness we struggled to break them down as a team.
We always seem to struggle against teams that sit deep as it generally takes us a bucket load of chances in the final third to put one away and we are terrible when teams hit us on the break of which both seemed to go against us once they went down to 10 men.
All that money they have spent might not keep them up but what a bucket load of money does buy you is magical moments e.g. the finish from Remy.
I dont get why people are speaking of them in the same light as Derby’s PL adventure as you only have to look at the team sheet and see the likes of Remy and Cesar to know that is not the case.
Still no panic buttons for me and I am more than confident that we will survive.
If it means it goes to the last game vs Aston Villa then so be it.
Although I am probably 1 more last day survival away from a heart attack if truth be told.

I agree with all that you have said there Salford.
In hindsight, we probably got the tactics wrong yesterday. When QPR went down to 10 men, their game play turned to all out defence and break quickly on the counter-attack, knowing that the pressure would be on us to attack and use our advantage. Knowing that QPR had to get all 3 points from that game, even more so than us, and with them being at home, perhaps we should have kept the ball in our own half more, forced them to push up for the ball and break down their defence that way…?

His passing in the first half in particular was awful.Gomez was in crab mode but he didn’t give the ball away as much as young James did.
I felt sorry for him getting booed though – all he did was get his head kicked in.
Mind you at least it was the away fans that were booing this week !! ;)

Would a corporate hospitality ticket at the semi-final entitle you to a ticket for the final?
