Typical ITV don’t pick us…and I’ll have to watch on my laptop courtesy of Wizzywig or whatever its called.

If that date/time is confirmed, presume the Sheff W game will be put back to, erm, Wednesday?

If the cup game were to go to a replay, there aren’t many gaps in the schedule to fit it in!

We really should sell out at that price[/quote]

Not sure how many tickets we have been given, heard 3k & 6k? Don’t think we’ll sell 6k but should be able to take 4-5k, you would hope anyway. I can’t wait, would be great if we upset the form book again :)

When City beat Cardiff City 4-2 on Saturday 18 January, they became the first team to reach 100 goals in the Premier League era before the end of January. They had won all their home league matches too.

Now the goals are drying up. Their last five games have produced just three goals. To be fair, they have played Chelsea twice and Barcelona, but their other opponents were Norwich and Stoke.

They have lost their unbeaten home record in the league to Chelsea and lost the home leg of their Champions League tie against Barcelona. Pellegrini is showing the strain.

Injuries have struck players down too. Aguero and Nastasic missed the game yesterday, and Jovetic came on and quickly went off with a strain.

The quadruple looks beyond their reach, and the treble may be too. Let’s see how they get on at Wembley next Sunday.

Manchester City’s top scorer Sergio Aguero is in contention to play in Sunday’s Capital One Cup final after returning to training on Tuesday.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that Aguero’s fellow strikers Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko have not been 100% fit, while Stevan Jovetic was replaced against Stoke after suffering from cramp.

But he will hope to have all four available for Sunday as he seeks to win the first trophy of a targeted quadruple. From the BBC

Quadruple? He’ll be lucky! And a defeat by Sunderland would demoralise them before the FA Cup quarter finals.

Tickets for the Quarter-final at Manchester City sell out after one hour of general sale

The remaining tickets for Wigan Athletic’s Quarter-Final tie at Manchester City in the FA Cup with Budweiser have all now completely sold out.

The final 500 tickets were release for general sale at 9.00am this morning to personal callers at the ticket office and were sold before midday.

3,750 Wigan Athletic supporters will travel to the Etihad Stadium next Sunday which has delighted manager Uwe Rosler who said:

“I have been impressed by the support the fans have given me and the team since I arrived at the club both home and away and the following that we will have at the game will be one of our largest ever away support in our history.

“It really does illustrate how important the FA Cup is to Wigan Athletic supporters.”
