I haven’t heard anything about the draw for the semi-finals.
I just hope we’re in it.

A googly search came up with this….no other reason why I would be looking at Arsenal’s site…

If that is correct, we will definitely be in the semi-final draw :woohoo:
8 March 2014 at 1:04 am #128237Read a report today in the mirror, Kevin Ratcliffe saying he wants Everton to forget the pretty football and win a trophy, fair enough, but then he went on about everyone wanting to avoid City in the semi`s,cheeky get!,TURN THEM OVER LATICS and rub his and everyone else’s noses in it. No ones giving us a chance. Bring it on! :woohoo:
8 March 2014 at 3:04 am #128238The draw for the semi-finals of the FA Cup will take place from approximately 4pm (UK time) on Sunday.
The draw for the quarter finals took place at around the same time. One game was still in progress and one was yet to start.
So we should know what we are playing for.
8 March 2014 at 3:09 am #128239All non wiganers will say it is a home banker, for sure. Only heard one pundit say Wigan will win, and that was Adrian Durham from Talk Sport. Now I don’ t really like the bloke cos he can talk some real nonsense, but he did go up a little in my estimation when he said that :)
8 March 2014 at 11:05 am #128240We’re going into this cup tie with City in much better form than we did for the Cup Final. Uwe won the award for Manager of the Month, while the win at Forest was the Performance of the Week.
City suffered something of an eclipse in February, scoring just four goals in five games, and losing their important Champions League game at home to Barcelona.
They showed some signs of recovery in the League Cup Final against Sunderland. However, this cup tie comes inbetween the international midweek games and the return game in Barcelona.
City remain a force to be reckoned with, but I think a draw is within Wigan’s reach. I’m not sure that either manager would welcome yet another game, so both sides may be playing for a win on Sunday.

Prize prick, that mon.
8 March 2014 at 4:48 pm #128249Mark Lawrenson doesn’t think Wigan have a chance.
City won the League Cup last weekend. He thinks that winning a trophy early in the season gives a team a boost to their confidence that enables them to kick on and win further trophies.
Well it didn’t help Swansea last season. Their decline started after their League Cup win. And it didn’t help Birmingham City in 2011 – they were relegated. And Liverpool didn’t even achieve a Champions League place in 2012.
So winning the League Cup doesn’t necessarily lead to further success.

2009 Manchester United Manager Alex Ferguson
2010 Manchester United Manager Alex Ferguson
