Could it be our esteemed chairman has slightly pee’d off the big movers in the world of Replica kits? Possibly with his ‘price fixing’ techniques of a few years ago? There must be SOME reason why we keep having obscure kits from strange firms.
Considering a whole host of lower league clubs have big name manufacturers.
For example, Swindon, have Adidas. Morecambe, have Puma.
York City, in the CONFERENCE, have Nike.
Wigan Athletic, playing in the Premiership……have Mi-Fit.
Something wrong somewhere, isn’t there?
20 July 2010 at 4:52 pm #40472Kit manufacturers are no longer offering the big buck that they were to make kits. Wolves have just gone with some obscure South Korean company because none of the usual big companies could, or would, compete with what they were offered.
By pretty much doing it “in house” then i’m sure there is going to be more money in it for us in the long run. And to be honest i’ve dont know anyone who buys a kit only because of who it is made by, normally it’s a case of them buying it if they like it or not, regardless of which factory in Vietnam it came from.
20 July 2010 at 4:56 pm #40473I really don’t get this.
Every man and his dog has slagged off Whelan for allegedly lining his pockets over the years.
Now, he suddenly creates a company that manufactures sporting apparel and people have to ask why we aren’t using Nike or Adidas or Umbro or some other such brand that doesn’t swell the Whelan family coffers????
As my smart-ass five-year old is fond of saying: “Aske me a harder one Dad, that’s way easy””
20 July 2010 at 5:00 pm #40480Just pinched this from our friends at Wiganer.

From what I have heard, Whelan bought out Vandanel before they went bust “to save the club shop”. And a week before MiFit was announced as our new kit supplier Whelan bought them out too!
They have just simply took the designs put forward from Vandanel last season and stuck a Mifit badge on them.
Also last season proposed away kit design….

Is this to be this seasons away kit???

What – brown? Brown has never been a good idea for an away shirt (Coventry for example). Or a home one for that matter.
