Personally i like the new kit. It’s unique and looks classy. Also for the thing behind the stripes etc. we haven’t always had stripes. We have had 8 shirts with stripes on and our first ever kit was Red and White due to the war yes but no blue there until 1947 when we wore blue with white sleeves not stripes. Blue is our primary colour for Wigan Athletic. Stripes is an option. I will be buying this shirt as i have bought the previous shirts for as long as a remember. Wigan Athletic wearing this shirt will be different and unique. Nike,Adidas,Puma,Umbro use literally the same or similar designs for several kits with a few exceptions. I am glad we don’t have a kit looking some 1 else’s because the design is similar. Don’t forget we only got mi-fit as our manufacturer for about a week so to make their first ever shirt like this is an accomplishment.
Sick of reading this sh it about brands of kits you dont like it dont fo okin but it and get a life while your at it
your spot on there
what i cant understand is why whelan/wigan athletic should pay perhaps £20 wholesale to the likes of adidas/nike/puma when it was manufactured sub contract in SE Asia for a quid or two when he can use his VAST knowledge in that industry and source from the same manufacturer for that low price
the only people that this upsets is the big global multi nationals and a few brand snobs on here – if the kit had a armani badge on it it would suddenly be more stylish ?
lets face it this kit and the mifit company is probably vis wear and if this benefits a wigan company and david whelan this ultimately has a positive knock on effect for wigan athletic.

It DOES look shyte though. My mates who support other clubs, agree with me as well.
It would have to of been a really nice kit for me to buy the shirt, anyway. But that? No chance.
