RIP Tommy. Genuine bloke and Latics to the core. This is one person that truly will be missed and such a tragic way to go.

Just found out it was the Tommy who used to coach Junior Latics when I used to be chairman of the football section. What a tragedy. Tommy was a fantastic bloke with a great sense of humour. The lads used to love Tommy and Malc and we’ve had some great times together. I don’t live far from where it happened and was working in the back garden about the time it happened and heard the police/ambulance sirens. If anyone finds out the funeral details please post on here. God Bless, Tommy.

Nephew was working with him on a job until half 4 on Tuesday, they worked together a lot. They said their goodbyes and see you tomorrows and it was only when he got to work the day after and Tommy wasn’t there he thought something was up and found out only a couple of hours after they’d last spoke he’d been tragically killed.

I only knew him through my nephew at Latics but he seemed a good bloke. Terrible, tragic story about a guy who loved Latics and his cycling.

RIP Tommy. Hope the club do something on Saturday in his memory. He certainly deserves it.

The fans in the Supporters Club were superb, I don’t know how long the applause went on for but as it was unprompted it shows how much he was thought of.

                  We’ll miss him.

                  RIP

For anyone that knew Tommy or those that would like to donate to a good cause, Tommy’s daughter Sarah has set up a donations page with all donations made going to the charity ‘Brake’ which is a cycle charity that is set up to assist the families of tragedies such as this

For those that wish to do so the link is http://www.justgiving.com/Sarah-berry1
