which the club can ill afford
Where do you get that from? Financially we are very sound.
This I know but £4m is a lot of money to a club of our size and would have probably bought us a player or 2 next year.
6 February 2012 at 12:55 am #80595I would prefer to see Hugo helping our cause than QPR or Fulham’s. I’m sure he’ll get plenty of action on the field between now and the end of season. He looked quite sharp when coming on and may have sealed the win if Victor had chosen a simple 10 yard pass to him rather than try and take on the two defenders.
His reaction to that passage of play made me feel he was still hungry for goals and wants to help his team win games.
Its no good our club having £4m in their back jacks, losing our leading goalscorer for the past 2-3 seasons and having no replacement. :ohmy:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!6 February 2012 at 1:18 am #80601But it will not matter as there is no way were getting out of this mess, so keeping him has cost us £4m and we still go down.
Not a very good plan IMO.
6 February 2012 at 2:56 am #80618Put yourself in his position your a free agent come May and can negotiate your own contract so do you
1.Give everything for your present club risking injury when you know your gone in May.
2.Take it easy making sure you are fit at the end of the season so you can fashion your next big money move.
Im worried he will take option 2 so thats why I would think about leaving him out.
6 February 2012 at 3:30 am #80624Is option 2 any good for him or our club? Don’t think so.
As someone previously posted, look at how Zog played for the last 10 games or so, he surely was putting himself in the shop window.
Hugo has 14 games to show to all his respective employers that he’s worth investing in.
If you’ve ever played football you will also know that taking things easy and going into challenges half heartedly, usually results in you getting injured rather than avoiding getting crocked. From Matlock to ManU
