Tend to agree, he did a job as part of a strike force but on his own with the ball being passed around in midfield without any penetration, he is next to useless.
If we keep the same system might as well get the cash to fund someone who can play that role. I don’t know anyone who can score goals, while the ball is being passed around midfield till we get fed up and gift the ball away.
There’s always Figueroa from the half way line.

I don’t think he will do that because all our ready made replacements

If true, then the club’s job now is to spend the next 7 days moving him on for as much money as possible, however little that might be.

Thing is it’s not only this season he’s been poor. He was poor all last season too.
Since he came it has been single episodes of quality. No doubt he has it in him, but he has never been consistent for us. I don’t think we are the team Hugo needs. Stick him up front for arsenal and he would be happy.
Get a fee and let him go on his way, in turn gaining a shed load on wages.

He has never looked comfortable since Bob came, he does not suit the system and is certaily not a winger. It takes us back to the same old arguement about picking a formation your players can play rather than making them play one they can’t.
