Apparently on to join us in January.
Taken from Sky Sports.
Sporting Kansas City have revealed that midfielder Roger Espinoza is in the process of piecing together a move to Wigan Athletic.
Espinoza caught the eye of European scouts over the summer after impressing for Honduras at the 2012 Olympics.
Wigan were credited with holding an interest at that time, but were unable to put a deal in place.
They have, however, refused to accept defeat in their pursuit of Espinoza and the 26-year-old should complete a switch to England once the January transfer window opens for business.
“He called and told me that he’s basically decided that he’s going to Wigan,” Sporting KC manager Peter Vermes told the Kansas City Star.
“It was a tough decision for him, but it’s something that he wanted to do. He wanted a chance to play in the English Premier League, but he also wanted to thank me and the club for everything.”
Vermes added: “I told him I really appreciated his commitment to the club.
“He’s been a great guy on and off the field for us for several years. His growth as a player has been tremendous. I told him we’re happy for him, but that the doors are open if things change in the future.”

Seen quite a bit about this today Spaulding.
Not seen much of the player though, hopefully be good signing!
27 November 2012 at 10:47 pm #97286AnonymousI watched him on TV in the Olympics match at St James park when he got sent off right at the end. Quite a fuss was made about him getting a standing ovation for his contribution to the game as he left the field after his red card (for two bookable offences I think). He was a busy, creative, midfielder or playmaker as it’s sometimes called. He was very good in that match but if he comes, it would be a big step up to do same in Premier League.

4 December 2012 at 5:20 am #97650I think he’ll be a good fit. At the very least, provides some cover with Watson injured, and should we should see less of Jones (unless Jones is needed at left wingback).
4 December 2012 at 2:12 pm #97660We will sign him and then we wont hear of him again for about a year ! Bolton fans keep telling me Miyaichi was really good for them and they cant understand why in the current circumstances that he doest get a run out ! It’s all fair and well saying that he doesn’t fit into the system we play so why bring him here in the first place is my question !
4 December 2012 at 2:26 pm #97662He’s been injured for most of his time here numb nuts

He’ll come in January, be outstanding to the end of the season…then sign for Arsenal week before the start of the 2013-2014 season.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!6 December 2012 at 2:34 pm #97782Good bit of business if he can get straight into the side and have an impact. If he helps keep us up and then moves on for a profit then so be it ! Who will make way for him is the question ? On the other hand, don’t be surprised if you don’t see hide nor hair of him for months !
