6 December 2012 at 3:23 pm #97785don’t be surprised if you don’t see hide nor hair of him for months !
A definite possibility Filmoss.
They get us exited about a new signing that is usually a ‘great addition’ to the squad. Then don’t hear their name for months!!
6 December 2012 at 3:35 pm #97787This guy is a defender /midfielder I wonder if he his a replacement for Boyce in the wing back role maybe next season ? So that those who complain of signings pulling splinters out of there arse will get there wish to carry on complaining

If he is signing him now surely he should start inducing him into the team shortly? As even if the signing is for a longer term replacement, if we have him now surely we should give him games this season so he is closer to being ready and up to pace for the full season next season. So by that logic I believe we should see glipses of him at least. (That is if he even is a replacement for the RWB role)
6 December 2012 at 4:32 pm #97790Oh dear, 2.5 year deal …………..with an option!!!He’ll come in January, be outstanding to the end of the season…then sign for Arsenal week before the start of the 2013-2014 season.
When contracts are described a x years with an option, that option is usually referring to an option the club or player has to extend it for a further amount of time – normally if the player makes a specific number of appearances.
I don’t think it means an option say for someone else to put in an amount specific bid for him & they can have him or an option for 1 or both parties to cancel it for any reason e.g. if the player wants a big move6 December 2012 at 6:29 pm #97793Oh dear, 2.5 year deal …………..with an option!!!

If he takes anyone’s spot, it’s most likely to be McCarthy or McArthur in the current formation. I don’t see him as a wingback; but, Martinez may see something I don’t. And while he may not see 90 minutes every week, I think Rog will definitely get some minutes.
