This window or are we waiting until his contract runs out/we can get him on a free in January?
Kansas City has been the best team in MLS this year (IMO), and should be setting themselves up for a championship run. So, in theory they might be willing to keep him until January & risk losing him for free (or at least risk driving up the price). Also, they just lost one of their better players for the rest of the year (Bunbury – ACL) – so that could either make them less likely to sell (thinking they can’t afford to lose anyone else if they want the championship), or more likely (as the MLS playoff is no sure thing to begin with, and now they are down an important piece already, so might as well cash out).
What ever happened with Pappa – was that just rumor, or considered a lock come January?
