Coyle 8 games 11 points
Rosler 8 games 8 pointsI have no idea what his plan, style of play or tactics are, and after tonight neither do the players
23 September 2014 at 2:29 am #133556Wont last till xmas at this rate
23 September 2014 at 3:17 am #133562Wont last till xmas at this rateAfter tonight Christmas looks a very long way off for Uwe.
The 3 subs looked the sharpest by a mile, but that wouldn’t have been difficult after what had gone before.
Bournemouth, Notts F and Wolves coming up….could Brentford on 18th Oct be the end?
23 September 2014 at 3:22 am #133563Or a Déjà vu Derby fixture special! 3-1 to Derby and a swinging axe anyone! ;)
23 September 2014 at 3:49 am #133566if i was him i would start clearing his desk,to save time in november.
23 September 2014 at 4:00 am #133569Wont last till xmas at this rateTo be fair he couldn’t have too many complaints.
I hope for his sake he realises soon that one up front and fucking about with the team all the time is getting us nowhere.23 September 2014 at 11:52 am #133576Watched it onth telly with a few of the London Latics and can only describe the first 75 min as utter garbage. As bad as we were at the end of Coyle’s reign – and Coyle had a lot more on his plate to deal with.
We basically have no midfield and a poor back line. How Kiernan is keeping Barnett out of the side I don’t know.
Shame Macca had to go off so early. We totally fell apart after that and only recovered once Waghorn came on….for only his second 10-15min in 3 games – wtf?Yet yet again Rosler is proving naieve at this level. Why on earth he did he decide after our 4-0 win vs Birmingham and a 2 week break to blood his fresh signings in a local derby away from home?
And then allow and defend a defender to take a pen
And say “it broke his heart” to leave out one of our best players at Huddersfield, but only bring him on with 15 min to go today?
And suddenly switch to a possession rather than pressing approach? We have got players who can play and a team that could be incredible – but they’re fooked without decent tactics and management….and Uwe is way off those at the moment.
23 September 2014 at 1:04 pm #133578Good post Galactic. Bloody frustrating.
23 September 2014 at 1:15 pm #133579Keep the faith we`ll be in play offs.
23 September 2014 at 3:23 pm #133584Keep the faith we`ll be in play offs. With Rosler at the helm a tenner says we won’t be! ;)

I too had to watch this on the box and it only enforced what I’ve been saying all over this board all season.
Delort up front on his own no, Riera up front on his own no. Waghorn, Riera and Delort accommodated somehow, yes.
Play Tavernier, for his energy.
I hope Forshaw improves and manages to hit our men as much as he hit Ipswich’s last night.
Can’t agree with your Kiernan comment and we were already 1 down when Mcmananman went off and he was starting to look jiggered even then.
We are unfit and don’t close down.Big Mick said after the game last night he was surprised by our formation but even then knew we’d play only 1 up top and they could cope with that. The Watford fella said pretty much the same thing.
Rosler is as stubborn as Martinez with his 1 up front and if that doesn’t change he will have to go, as alas he can’t take us up, even with such a great squad and that is pretty alarming
24 September 2014 at 2:36 am #133618At least we tried to play football(for 20 minutes anyhow) and entertain rather than kick the other side off the park like Ipskick town did once they realised how crapthose officials were !!
Old bert from Sesame Street can go on and on about his ‘plan’ but it just boiled down to a game of murderball and it was dreadful to watch.
As for the embarrassment of seeing that non footballer Sammon score the winner well for me it was just a bad night that only your worst enemy could think up!!
24 hours later and the anger and embarrassment subsided I just feel robbed and cheated and the feeling is we deserved at least a point from that game last night and Rosler please start Waghorn every game from now on he is the best striker at the club.
bad night – not giving up on it just yet.
24 September 2014 at 2:46 am #133619Waghorn and McLean had so much more attacking threat when they came on.
Herr Tinkerman won’t see it that way though at Bournemouth.
Why is Barnett not starting? IMO our best defender now Boycey is past it. He’s big, strong, quick and can get his leg over when needed (or is that John Terry? )

” Robbed and cheated, deserved a point ” ? We deserved fuck all and were woeful for nigh on 80mins ! If we had nicked a point it would have been daylight robbery at night time ! What happened to that high tempo and expect an effort on goal within so many seconds bollocks he came out with once? One up front does not bode well with Wigan fans after enduring it for what seemed a lifetime under Martinez yet Rosler seems to think it can work? He will learn the hard way I fear!

I wouldn’t trust most Wigan fans to sit the right way on the bog, let alone advise me on tactics
