27 May 2018 at 9:48 pm #169386Well done Millers. Tough on Shrewsbury but that’s how it goes.
Paul Hurst manager of the season!!!!
Bored the pants off every team they played yet stole points.
All three relegated clubs promoted at first asking.27 May 2018 at 10:00 pm #169387Pleased for Warne and Pollitt. Always like to see ex latics men doing well.
Got to feel for Shrewsbury though after being the only side who got anywhere close to the top 2. Probably deserved to go up, but thats the playoff lottery for ya.
Any Shrews players you would look at? Beckles maybe or the keeper if we don’t get Walton?
28 May 2018 at 12:22 am #169388I just have a soft spot for Rotherham despite them being from the land of endangered sheep.
Just remember not long ago they were seriously in the financial Clary’s and had points after points deducted. Despite this the club survived and ended up with a new stadium. Great for their fans who always travel in semi decent numbers.
As far as the Shrews are concerned you can’t help but feel this was going to happen but after visiting their forum a few t ezimes the Salops were getting very cocky and have never had many decent words to say about our great club. Bollocks to them. Tough luck just dust yourselves off and go again next season.28 May 2018 at 3:03 pm #169389My view too, donny.
I found Shrews up themselves and rather unpleasant, whereas Rotherham fans I’ve found to be OK.28 May 2018 at 4:34 pm #169390Pleased for Warne and Pollitt. From what I saw of Beckles he was hopeless – clumsy, dirty and caught out a few times, don’t think he would improve our squad at all.
28 May 2018 at 4:38 pm #169391Actually, talking about Omar’s .. whatever happened to Omar Bogle ? Didn’t he go of to Cardiff ? never heard anything of him since..
28 May 2018 at 5:13 pm #169392Cant agree boys sorry, nowt against Rotherham but we broke all records this season and had to because Rovers and the Shrews pushed us every inch of the way. The best attack in the division didn’t score against them and we only took a point off em. No matter what style they play the fact is they thoroughly deserved to go up ahead of the Millers. I’m gutted for them and it will probably see the manager and some of the better players moving on before next season. Football is often a cruel sport.

I found Shrews up themselves and rather unpleasant, whereas Rotherham fans I’ve found to be OK.I agree. Whilst they were top and things looking rosey, they were very cocky and arrogant, giving us no credit and I even read them criticising us for getting late winners, after Bradford away. How many times did they nick a game in the 94th minute?
Their manager too, something arrogant about him as well. Not to mention their playing style and tactics.. Dull as dishwater, trying to close games and nick them late on. I’ve no sympathy. They’d have got smashed every week in the Championship with that team and set up. Hurst is already having talks with Ipswich and will no doubt go there. So no sympathy from me. Would anybody have any sympathy if it was Latics in their situation? No. We would just have lots of put downs about attendances, probably.

We have plenty put downs off lots of fans from other clubs re attendances. None of them realise our attendances are pretty good under the circumstances. Shrewsbury in particular have pathetic crowds considering they are Salops only league club and a club also that hasn’t got any Premier league clubs within 30 miles. Actually Shrews main rival for crowds is race day at Bangor on Dee every now and then.29 May 2018 at 3:27 pm #169395My view too, donny.

30 May 2018 at 1:23 am #169396Always baffles me how folk can base their entire knowledge and views of a club on the views of 4 to 5 keyboard warriors on a fansite!
