Ill be seeing you round….
10 March 2019 at 8:30 pm #177053Till next time.
10 March 2019 at 9:18 pm #177054The substitutions by Cook have been a source of amusement, at first, but over the past weeks a far more serious situation. He just has no idea. I believe he is
Seriously out of his depth.
When I read his interview yesterday on taking Powell and Jacobs off because of fatigue. But with all the injuries, are they over trained? At both Ipswich and Derby
we sat down just after 2pm and they were all running etc. That went on until 2.45. Both Ipswich and Derby did half that, Derby did 15 mins. Players do not have
Boundless energy. I believe that length of warming up is ridiculous.
As for replacements. Peter Reid works with the club but I note that the disgraceful sacking of Darren Moore he is available as is Graeme Jones!I do agree with an earlier comment COOK looks totally shattered. Give him gardening leave and let Joe take over till he is fit again.
Unless he’s pushed into changes like Derby at home. Cook’s substitutions seem to be driven more by ‘sports science’ rather than tactics or the immediate needs of the team.
Yesterday was a classic example. Powell and Massey where causing havoc. We didn’t need them for defensive responsibilities but where crucial to keep Reading on the back foot. Let them worry about conceding again, rather than pushing on for the equaliser, and ultimately, winner.
Same can be said for Ipswich at home. What a boost it would have been for the team and fans to have Powell and Massey starting. Try and get the job done in the first-half and then look to rest ‘em. Instead it was the usual cautious affair which backfired. Powell eventually coming on when Ipswich literally had nine men behind the ball. McManaman opened things up a little to give James space to operate in. Only to be discarded entirely from the squad since.
I’m trying my best not to say Cook has completely lost the plot. But results this coming week could be the final straw.
10 March 2019 at 9:30 pm #177055Who is going to sack him, the invisible board. We are in the shite big time both on and off the field. It seems as though nobody but us fans actually give a toss. FFS Royle say summat.
Yeah, we’re shite. He needs sacking after today and it needs some bold leadership from the Chairman and board. Not silence.
I’m swerving the Bolton game. Seeing them come and beat us with determined desire and fight, itll be far too much. I can’t stomach the thought of witnessing that. No thanks.
Was wondering how long it would be before you spat your dummy out and threatened not to go. The family commitment you refer to in a later post is bollux, otherwise you would have mentioned it in the above post.
FFS pull yourself together, its bad times like this that make the good times even better. Do what a proper fan should do, have a moan if you want but get behind YOUR team.
Listen you fucking bald old prick, theres a family illness in the equation here, so shut your fucking trap. Youve not got a clue about me at all.
There are more important things than football, so fuck right off.Your a fucking wanker and next time.Inaee you, your gonna get confronted. You are out of order commenting about stuff youvw not got a clue about. Fucking prick.
And the award for Meltdown of the Year goes to you sir.
Seriously though, you started off by saying “that’s it – i’m not going to the Bolton game cos we are shit”, then when called out, you throw in the family illness as a reason for not going next week. Perhaps in the cold light of day when your emotions return to normal, you may come to think that putting your original statement here wasn’t the brightest thing to do, knowing full well you’d get abuse for turning your back on your club.
If you have a family member that is ill, I hope they recover soon.
10 March 2019 at 9:44 pm #177056Don’t laugh. PTSD from Falklands no laughing matter for the lad from Skem.
10 March 2019 at 9:46 pm #177057He has won that award for the past 6 years.
11 March 2019 at 12:44 am #177059Can’t see beyond a comfortable Rovers win….possibly beat Bolton and I mean possibly. I still believe a creative player like Macmanaman can still play an important role yet but as long as Cooks in charge he’ll be overlooked.A comfortable win? You do know they are rock bottom of the form league and haven’t won in about 10 games? Yes they might beat us, but “comfortable”?

Nice one Dave, the meltdown as expected.
The last time I saw you wobbling to the ground it looked like you had eaten me!
Shut the door behind you and call it a day once and for all. Bye bye! From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!11 March 2019 at 10:22 am #177063Was expecting wins over Rotherham, Ipswich, Derby even and Reading and now Blackburn. Lets pray this one and on Saturday come off. If not it will be a proper time to worry.
Whats the Chairman hsd to say about our situation?11 March 2019 at 11:56 am #177067Why are people so obsessed with the chairmans thoughts? Do they want him to do a column in the evening post?
