      ” the Everton game will give us the chance to make changes.Not to rest people but maybe to find people who deserve to be in the team and develop real competition.”….YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN !So being that Everton will play a fully loaded team then we can kiss goodbye to wembley.If players have a stormer in the Everton tie do you think he really will give them a start against Newcastle ,Norwich ? ,will he bollocks.With 9 games left I think experimenting time is well and truly over.He now should know his best 11 and injuries permitting they should start on Saturday and the next 9 .Or maybe he’s just prepping his Sat afternoon excuses.If we beat Everton what a lift it will give the players going into our relegation battle or on the other hand a good tonking could be very damaging.Maybe they need another jolly to Tenerife before Saturday .

      Or maybe, just maybe, he’s trying to give the lads who’ll be playing on Saturday a gee-up? ‘Play well and you’ll get a regular start’

      If his comments offend you so much, don’t read or listen to them. I don’t.

          His best quote is :

          “Those who have played in the Cup deserve an opportunity and need to show what they can do against Premier League opposition.”

          What about trying them in a Premiership game ?. The Liverpool game was the 2nd time I’ve seen another team press us to the point were we just give the ball away for fun but this time the team had a world class forward who could punish us at will.
          The team picks itself which for me is a bad thing especially when your not playing well. It sends out bad vibes to players training week in week out full well knowing they’ve no chance.

          take Beausejour for instance, if he lost a stone he’d still be overweight. Al Habsi’s feck up for the free kick was laughable. He was stood bang in the middle when he needs to be slightly to his left and let the wall cover the right.
          Then when its taken he decides to hop to his right leaving his left side wide open and scrambles over like he’d a nail in his boot.

          If someone pops it over the wall to Al Habsi’s right and scores then there aint much a keeper can do and the credit goes to the taker , but for it to be hit to his left, and miss hit at that , then deflected taking the pace of it , and bounce ffs , my lad could have took a drink and stopped that..! there’s a keeper with no confidence.

          No I don’t think he’ll give them a start unless they’re truly outstanding, but funnily enough, his comments aren’t aimed at me, and don’t take this too much to heart, but I don’t think he’s addressing you either.

          I’ve never listened to his comments because he will always put a positive spin on things – which is done for the benefit of his players. These days it seems the only supporters who do listen are those who are gullible enough to listen but who can’t understand why he’s saying what he’s saying.

          It’s like going to church as an atheist just to mock the sermon.

            Yup my grin is £70 million wide and will continue to be while we are out of the relegation zone.

            But you just dont see that bigger picture do you.

                Can debate it as much as you want, but we were shit on Saturday.

                And have been shit all season.

                It’s in the lap of the gods really if we stay up or not. Truth is, by the time of our next league game, we could be in bottom three with even a victory not being enough to lift us out of it.

                #104412

                In their next three games Aston Villa play;
                Home to Man City
                Away to Reading
                Home to QPR

                So it’s true that next weekend, Wigan will be back in the bottom three – with an away game at Manchester City as their game in hand.

                Wigan’s next three league games are;
                Home to Newcastle
                Home to Norwich
                Away to QPR

                Three points or more will make a big difference.

                  Can’t see us picking up many points from now, until end of season. Can see Newcastle doing us, a draw V Norwich, and getting beat by QPR.

                  I think we’re going down….but I have done for a long time. Ah well.

                  We don’t have to do well – we just have to do better than Aston Villa, Reading and QPR. Nobody has easy matches, and Southampton are only three points ahead.

                  It was a tough night for Aston Villa. They lost 1-0 to Manchester City tonight – although they could have won 1-0 if the referee had seen things differently. As Delph was booked in injury time, he will now miss the Reading and QPR games.

                  So things could be worse. Wigan remain fourth from the bottom, ahead of Villa on goal difference. This weekend, only QPR won – against Southampton – in the bottom group. And they still have to play Villa, Wigan and Reading. Their manager, players and fans are going to need nerves of steel.

                  Wigan’s injured players are returning one by one. Alcaraz is back. Miyaichi made his return tonight and Watson will follow him shortly. I must say that I was surprised that Martinez has let Jones go. Meanwhile Newcastle expect to be without Collocini and Krul for most of March.

                  Which was the aberration – the game against Reading or the game against Liverpool? And who can say what mood City will be in when Wigan go to play them away? All will be revealed soon.

                    I like you, you’re even more positive than me without coming across as being up Martinez’s arse – which I am accused of being by the great and the good of the Wigan Athletic following.

                    Keep it up, fella!
